The pointed-ear woman introduced herself as Ayeka. 'We are in a tavern in different dimensions' she told him cheerfully.

'Pleasure to make your acquaintance, ma'am.' Hardwick responded, adding a tip of his hat respectfully. 'But a tavern that can travel through dimensions? That sounds like straight out of a child's book.'

He managed to stop himself before he continued, and glanced around at the eclectic collection of bizarre and grotesque patrons. Was it REALLY that unbelievable that this place was a portal between worlds? With all the indescribable horrors he'd seen since Chicago, a space-time travelling tavern would be a breath of fresh air... Still, if there’s one thing he found dangerously difficult to resist, it was curiosity.

'Say... Ayeka... What's the date today? What day, month and year is it right now?' He asked. A hand sat lightly on the flask in his trenchcoat - he got the feeling he wasn't going to like the answer, and he needed all the help he could get.
