Really? You thought his backstory was too dark for One Piece!? Um...okay. You didn't think that Shabondy got really dark? Or that snowy bridge that Robin was sent to by Kuma? Or hell, even Hancock's backstory was pretty dark. Think about it; she's consider to be one of, if not the, most beautiful women in the world...and she was a slave of the World Nobles. By that point, I tended to think worst case scenario for anyone who was in slaved by them. And then there was that little girl that traveled with the Sun Pirates, she was [i]broken[/i]. Or even Ace

Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining or anything...I'm just confused as all hell. Sure One Piece is 99% lighthearted/hotblooded fun...but the other 1% is really fucking dark
