Arys The music that came from the human was surprising to say the least. The Queen raised an eyebrow at the obvious level of skill before her. It was little wonder Falk had sent the human to her. If this was how he intended to win her favor, he was off to a promising start. And something unexpected happened. Arys' heart, long frozen, moved. The movement was slight, but it was there. Arys frowned at the movement. The spell she had used, the mystic powers behind it unknown to all except the most learned fae, was crafted to keep the heart forever frozen solid. This... twinge... was not supposed to happen. And it angered her. "Enough," she snapped at the mortal, standing swiftly to silence her. Cold anger hardened her eyes. She turned away from the girl, a hand over the place where her heart should have been. The twinge was almost... painful... "Is this what your lord sent you to do? To make me a weak simpering fool to fall under his boot?" Arys asked, acid in her tone. "My heart is frozen," she snarled, an icy wind overtaking the room, the furnishings becoming covered in a layer of jagged ice. "I am neither weak nor a fool. He sent you to break me down. No one can do that to me. Not ever again! Why did I ever agree to this? The heart makes you weak. It is merely a tool for others to destroy in their wake." Picking up the frost covered rose, one of the roses Falk had left for her, her crushed it in her hand, tossing the blackened remains away from her. She was angry, but beneath the anger was something else. Fear... [@LadyRunic] ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Grexx The little goblin stopped screaming when he heard a female voice. A beautiful female fae approached. Was she there to safe him or devour him herself? When she so playfully threatened him with such a truly despicable fate he frowned darkly, which was hard to do when you were clinging to a tree like a coward. "Are all Spring Fae so lacking in manners? I am the representative of the Winter Queen. Even if you have little respect or regard for my person, at least show some decorom out of respect for that!" he criticized her like a parent to a child. Once the beast had left he slid down the tree with a thump, immediately tripping over his own feet and landing in a heap at hers. Coughing, he stood and brushed himself off like no one had seen his clumsiness and adjusted his glasses. Standing a tall as he could make himself, which wasn't much, he grew serious. "I am called Grexx by my lady, the beautiful and powerful Queen Arys of the Winter Realm," he bowed and nearly fell over in his enthusiasm, but caught himself quickly and regained his balance. "I was sent as a representative of the Winter Court, as requested by your lord, Nyx the King of Spring. If you would be so kind as to lead me to him," he said, trying to maintain a respect for her that she hadn't shown towards him. Whether or not he liked this female was irrelevant. He was the representative of his Queen, as such he must show the proper respect to the creatures of this realm, whether or not they had earned it. Patting his bag, he tried to give a friendly smile but he was a goblin so he doubted it was very attractive. He was trying to act confident, he really was. But inside he was shaking like a scared child. How was he to do this when he couldn't make it five steps into the Spring Realm without needing to be rescued? It made him feel as everyone always treated him : small, insignificant and a failure... [@Prince of Seraphs]
