Araki wasn’t quite sure what to feel at the moment… foolish maybe? Because frankly he didn’t know where to find anyone, save one, he wanted to say a few parting words to. The realization had only really hit him after he touched the ground, and it rocked him more than the landing did. He stood there with an unsatisfied expression for quite a while, thinking, before he gave up with a shrug of his shoulders. ‘Oh well, Richard or Fion can handle it.’ With a small grin, he pushed aside any responsibility he might have had towards said individuals, and ran towards the nearest building. There was one person he knew where to find. Not even bothering to jump, Araki simply reached up overhead and grabbed the roof’s edge before he swung himself up into the air. Landing on the wooden roof tiles, there was a pause as he took a look around before Araki took off again, his bearings set. His run over the rooftops was a mad adrenaline-filled dash. For once he held nothing back and faint wisps of green streaked behind him as he forced magic to push his body as far as possible. The Crescent Moon was on the other side of the city after all, and while time wasn't of the essence, there was no reason for him to take it slow. Each jump propelled him past building after building, and on the occasion he would even throw himself towards one of the taller structures, bouncing himself off them for the simple fun of it. And so, today there would be another odd story to compliment the dark figure atop the tallest building in Cykes; the one of a green figure that flew through the skies above. It didn’t take long for Araki to drop down from the sky back to the streets, cracking the cobblestone underneath as he did so; thankfully the street he fell into was completely empty. In front of the Crescent Moon, Araki could see the reason for the nagging feeling that had been at the back of his mind as he got closer to the dojo. ‘Thought it had been too quiet...’ The doors were barred shut so, for whatever reason, the grounds were closed for the day. “Really now…” he muttered, slightly disappointed, before he sighed and bent his knees, shooting back up to the rooftops with a jump. Looking down on the open grounds, the stillness felt unnatural to the hybrid and with a small frown he turned away to leave quickly. --- “I’m afraid I don’t know where Fion is at the moment. He hasn’t returned since he left this morning, I assumed he met up with you earlier today.” “He did…” Araki trailed off as he sighed; looked like no one wanted his farewells. “Anyways, could you tell anyone that asks where I am that I’ve left the city please?” He bowed to the servant when he made his request, missing Richard’s questioning expression. Yet when he raised his head at last, the expression had disappeared and Richard simply nodded, acquiescing. “Thank you. You’ve been better to me than most.” He meant it, sadly enough, and bowed to Richard once more, sincerely glad for his presence in the Seyour household. “It was nothing much. Be safe, wherever you go Araki.” With those final words and a slight bow, he turned away to attend to his tasks, no doubt there were many. --- Unsurprisingly, Araki didn’t have much to take with him from the household. His “luggage” amounted to little more than a pack that was slung over the shoulder. It held enough food for two days, courtesy of Richard; some of the important documents he had been given, if only to avoid trouble while still in Dansila; and some other miscellaneous things. As he drew the pack shut, he took a final look around the room he had spent the last little while in. It hadn’t been a long time, so thankfully he hadn’t grown accustomed to its comforts; he chuckled softly at the thought. Before he dwelled any longer though, he pushed the window up and slid outside, dropping down to the grass below after he closed the windows. The sun was still up and if he could still judge its position, then he should have a few hours till nightfall. Enough to make some good distance from the walls.
