He doesn't burn to ash instantly... but direct sunlight would cause him to burst into flame. That said, if we happen to attack the bank on a rainy day he could get away with it... through he would be very, very grumpy from being tired. 

...Why would wearing the flayed skin of a mortal protect him beyond creating a minor barrier between his flesh and daylight? Why was [i]that[/i] the first thing you thought of?
