Arys The Ice Queen glared at the mortal. "Silence," she said, her tone a kind of quiet that was terrifying to most creatures. "Speaking freely does not mean disrespectfully. Learn the difference or I shall make sure you learn it. Get out of my sight." With a wave of her hand the doors to her chambers flung open. A goblin waited outside to lead the human to her own room. It was a small, but not a large room with a bed, a desk and a chair. A wardrobe stood against one wall with warm clothing and furs inside and there was a basin with a pitcher of water on a table near the bed. "If the precious mortal wants food, call," the goblin said in a harsh raspy voice before leaving the human to her own devices. Alone in her room Arys breathed in and out slowly. The silence was welcoming. In truth she was not really angry with the human, it was just a convenient place to focus her anger. No, she was truly angry at herself. For the brief time she heard that music she had felt something stir in a heart that was supposed to be frozen. Something stirred and it terrified her to no end. She had been without a heart for so long the thought of having hers returned to her, and all of the weakness that came along with it, made her deeply regret giving that challenge to Falk. But there was no way to go back on it now. A challenge given could not be revoked. Perhaps he would give up? Even as the thought crossed her mind she dismissed it. Falk was stubborn. He would not give up simply for the sake of his own ego. What was she to do? Arys' mind worked feverishly at a solution. One presented itself, but it wasn't one she liked... ~~~~~~~~~~~ Grexx Grexx sputtered at the female. "I never said I was impressive or important! Don't twist my words fae of Spring! I merely stated that it was rude to speak of someone being eaten alive in their presence. Listen to words and their meanings before making assumptions," he said, sliding down the tree. Not paying attention, he went too fast and ended up landing hard on his rump and rolling head over heels backwards. Scrambling to his feet and brushing off like nothing had happened. "Besides, you said yourself that I am expected by the King of Spring. If I am killed before reaching him my Queen would consider that an act of war," he blustered, praying such a statement was true. Grexx put his little shoulders back and tried to stand tall. Perhaps he would do better by applying a bit of honey to his words. "Now, fair lady, would you be so kind as to take me to your- EEK!" he suddenly hollered at the sound of something moving in the brush. In the space of a breath he was behind the leg of the female, only dust showing where he had been an instant before. He may have been small and clumsy but he was fast. He tried to save face by clearing his throat and stepping out from behind her leg. "I can see things are quite safe. You may proceed now without qualm." It was truly laughable, like a child trying to seem like an adult. Grexx could only look at her with misery in his eyes, wordlessly begging her to move on from this embarrassing situation of his without comment.
