That comparison definitely works for me! 

You described Bania as having an elven queen: "Isabela." What's the government and racial makeup of the nation like? Does the throne have a strong centralized power, or is it more loose and regional? And how are the inhabitants on a technological level? Rivaling Andred or the Empire, or more antiquated? I'd like a clearer grasp on what their culture might be like. 

I've got a good sense of the Kaelic people from your description. Seems that the Kaels, elves and dwarves get along fine; no doubt due to the adversaries they have in common. Are they still actively fighting Andred, or has the conflict come to a standstill? How loose or unified are the clans?

Both regions appeal to me, as I wanted to play a character who isn't as cosmopolitan, or "civilized" as someone from say, Andred, but still has a culture and society to call home. Both nations breed tough people, since they're filled with unsavory enemies and monsters. I can imagine several character concepts I could take from either; I think it's mostly coming down to aesthetics and cultural beliefs at this point.
