||| The Setting: The Megaverse |||

The realm of reality is a vast and infinite one that holds an uncountable amount of worlds. Every world is different from each other. They abide by different rules, appear different, and so on. The one thing that each of these worlds have in common is that they're inhabited by sentient life of some kind. Whether it's human, or some different brand of humans. Each of these worlds are bundled up into clusters, no different from planets. This specific cluster is known as the Megaverse, and consists of hundreds of worlds that are different from each other. Each universe is separated from each other by barriers that are seemingly impossible to break. They prevent any form of travel between the universes, and at the same time they keep each dimension unaware of each other. However, a powerful enough event is capable of shattering these barriers, and allowing travel between the universes. Once the barrier is shattered, however... things start to get wonky. Because the barrier is such a vital part of each universe, it begins to wildly open portals, and send objects from one dimension to another. Along with, say, allowing a powerful enough magician to open portals from one universe to another. Once a person is in a separate universe, they must abide by the rules of the dimension. Depending on what world they're in, they may change appearance all together. However, they may still access abilities and powers that they were capable of in their host dimension because of it "feeding" them their original power. Which allows them to be at their peak no matter where they are.

|| List of Universes ||

New Earth

Genres:

Modern, Low-Scifi, Superhuman, etc
This universe is very similar to the world we live in, it's exactly like Earth, it has the same history. Except for some key differences. Two hundred years ago, people infused with a strange energy began to appear, holding superhuman abilities that were shoulders above everyone else called "Metahumans." They can have the ability to bend the laws of science to their will, from super strength, to super speed. They started off with a small amount, but as the years went by, the amount of Metahumans went upwards towards the ten thousands. Now, in 2016, Metahumans are at the forefront, and constantly changing the world itself. Opinions of these Metahumans vary from place to place. One person may see them as a threat, while another may see them as a valuable resource. Most Metahumans are shunned globally. Due to various efforts, many Metahumans aren't too much of a threat. The problem lies in the fact that many people who shouldn't have powers were gaining superpowers and using them to wreak havoc upon the world. Criminals, mad scientists, and various other threats were appearing. The regular police weren't fit to handle them. Which caused the governments of the world to create their own task forces for handling them. The Americans created NEST, the Chinese created the Metahuman Armed Police Force, while Russia created the Wurdulac and the list goes on. Due to their efforts, the whole is kept safe, and the balance was kept, and things continued as normal. However, Seven years ago, the world was shook by a Metahuman so powerful that it nearly destroyed everything. Known as the Devil of Verthaven, this Metahuman was capable of controlling weather on a macro scale, and producing a limitless horde of monsters. Afterwards, the thoughts of Metahumans took a nosedive, and the situation is reaching a boiling point as more Metahumans are popping up than before. At the forefront, new organizations known as RAVEN and DOVE took the forefront in the American Metahuman regulation. As it's been stated before, the world is a replica of the real world. With a few differences. Centering on America, there's many different cities that don't exist in the real world (Black Fall, Verthaven, Baybridge, New Rivere, etc). They vary in power, and can potentially have any power within. These powers also have varying levels of strength and skill. They aren't too rare in the universe of New Earth, and are widespread. Their morality, personalities, and goals are just as diverse as their powers.

Other
Guess what asshole? The Blackening is defined by the rise of the Black Empire, a nation of Vampires that arose out of the Balkans and has since spread across the Old World. Most of the focus of this universe is on the three contients of Erebus, Shams and Yazou, analogues to Europe, The Middle-East, and Asia. The dominant religion of Eberus is the Church of Invitto, an initiatory solar religion, centered around the all powerful deity of Zun Sole Invitto. Following the rise of the Black Empire, the center of the Solar Church was moved away from the Holy Lands in Shams, and placed in the farthest corner of the known world, the Islands of Prithana and Euerna. Major Nations in this Universe are: - The Black Empire, a nation ruled by Vampires, where humans and other non-Vampires are used as slaves, and the dead that collect of the enslaved people are risen from the dead to be added to the “invicible” armies of the Black Empire as Zombie Soldiers. The Black Empire spans from The Balkans, The Alps, Crimea, Anatolia, and Mesopotamia. - The Theodish Empire, known as Thiudisk Rikja in it's own language, it is a massive Empire containing what we know as France, Germany, the Netherlands, and Prussia. It is the main opponant of the Black Empire in Eberus, and has successfully retaken more of Alpine Theodisland from the Vampires. - The Kingdom of Jazirah, a theocratic empire that encompasses nearly all of Shams, it is a powerful nation, and the primary enemy of the Black Empire in Shams. Lesser Nations are the many small Kingdoms in places like Euerna, Prithani, and Ishfan. Most of the stories from this universe focus on Euerna and Prithani, especially Euerna.
Species

Humans – Humans are a bit tougher in the universe of the Blackening than they are in our universe. Humans are a race skilled in magic, though not as much as Aois Sidhe, though about on par with Vampires.
Vampires – A mysterious species that arose in the Year of Darkness, the year 769, and rose up to conquered most of the lands connecting Eberus and Shams. While they appear human, they are fundimentally different. Vampires have a natural weakness to light, and usually get around this by way of their slaves or zombie armies to carry the burden of work during daylight hours. It is true that humans or other lifeforms can become vampires, by way of alchemical magic that change the physiology of a victim. A vampire administers the spell though a salve, sometimes by way of a wound laced with a medium for transmission, such as a bite or a stab wound, after which, the victim begins to experience growing delirium, mental degeneration, and finally slips into a deathlike coma, where the body begins to re-structure itself, until the victim recovers, and has been reborn as a vampire. However, this is only done to those who are determined to be “useful”, with most human slaves being allowed to die and then resurected as Zombies.
Fomorians – A biological weapon created by vampires from mutated humans, Fomorians are giant, humanlike beasts that are used as weapons by Vampire Armies, or left to rampage on their own, and grow to form wild populations. Euerna has by far the worst problem with Fomorians, who routinely destroy cities and monastaries.
Aois Sidhe – Known by various other names (Daemon, Jinn, Gast, etc), Aois Sidhe are various beings with very strong ties to magic, but low populations. The term is more an umbrella for all mythical creatures, with some species known as Aois Sidhe being intelligent and civilized (ex: Cat Sidhe, Jinn, Selkie), with others being little more than beasts (Bean Sidhe, Kelpie, Cu Sidhe)
Zombies – The Undead, created by Vampires wtih magic, usually from an itelligent species such as humans or a subtype of Aois Sidhe.

[Universe Shengxaio]

Genres:

Sci-Fi Fantasy
In 2345, humanity had created a means to access all planets within the solar system. This was part of a long running project to ensure mankind’s survival in the face of overpopulation. The project also involved having to terraform the planets and see if it would be a livable environment for humanity. To do this, mankind sent excavation teams to the various planets to recreate Earth’s atmosphere, then place animals on them to test how well the environment would be. The project was considered a huge failure when one by one, the excavation teams were reported missing along with any animals sent with them. They have been presumed dead. At least until 2350, when humanity presumably made first contact with beings called Raterrians. However, they were quick to note their rat like features and even how they displayed habits of rats. It wasn’t long before they reached the conclusion that the animals indeed survived and have mutated. It took a bit of prying, but they managed to find out what happened. An incident with the excavation team on Mercury led to the unearthing of a monolith that slowly gave rats on that ship the ability to think, walk, and talk like a human, along with the ability to dig through the earth like it was water. When asked about the whereabouts of the excavation team, the Raterrian talking to them informed them that they have never seen them, though they mentioned their leader, a human in clothes known only as a Sage. Eventually, more reports filled in about these Sages and their represented animal race. Realizing their survival relied now on pacts, humanity made the Zodiart Alliance. By 2400, most of these planets became Zodiart Allied, with each planet now having a space station to park space ships. Of course, there had been several races and Sages who seek to be on top of the proverbial food chain. To this day, mankind has no idea how these monoliths came to be. Some have come to the conclusion that these monoliths were created either by precursor races or even Gods. Some have even went as far as insisting that the Tree of Knowledge from the tale of Adam and Eve was indeed a monolith.
Species

Humans – Obvious humans.
Sages – These are humans who have been mutated by the monoliths to give them psychic powers. There’s only twelve in existence, and each one acts as either a spokesperson or even a god towards their planet’s dominant race. These twelve sages follow the Western Zodiac and are called as such.
Raterrains – Humanoid rats about the size of a dwarf. Able to dig through the earth as if it was water. Planet of origin: Mercury.
Oxnards – Humanoid oxes, as big as, say, Andre the Giant, with their key power being their strength. Planet of Origin: Venus.
Tigerrians – A proud warrior race. Their ferociousness is matched only with their razor sharp claws that can burn flesh if they can cut into it. Planet of Origin: Mars.
Jackalopes – A cute bunny race whose ability is to make an environment tranquil. They are often delegated as peace keepers. Planet of Origin: Ceres
Dragons – Originally a collection of reptiles, they have mutated into huge dragons with all the standard powers that they have, such as flight and breathing fire. Some dragons are born with metallic scales that act as armor. Planet of Origin: Jupiter
Nagas – Trading in half of a humanoid body for their snake-like bodies, Nagas are gifted with their ability to hypnotize others with their enchanting bodies. Planet of Origin: Saturn
Centaurs – Like with the Nagas, the Centaurs traded half of a humanoid body for their horse half. They are gifted with super speed, making them the perfect messengers. They are also masters of magic and fencing. Like Dragons, some are born differently. In this case, some are born with the gift of flight. Planet of Origin: Uranus.
Satyrs – Satyrs also traded half of a human body for their goat legs. These beings are more of a carefree race, able to play any kind of musical instrument without fuss. Planet of Origin: Neptune.
Hanumen – Monkey humanoids who are experts in the art of kung fu, able to master any hand-to-hand weapon at the cost of being extremely crap at using guns. Planet of Origin: Pluto.
Roosterrains – Gifted with the power of flight and super screeching, Roosterrians, like Satyrs, are a carefree race. Some Roosterrains use their powers to sing, which makes them pretty popular celebrities in space, giving them the nickname of Sirens. Planet of origin: Haumea.
Penghous – As loyal as they were when they were dogs, Penghous have been humanity’s #1 allied race in the universe and are dedicated to protecting them from threats. They are able to enter a trance-like state where they can easily be alerted, even if in a deep sleep. Planet of origin: Makemake.
Zubas – These pigs are actually powerful carpenters, able to build houses from the ground up in little over a month. They have been employed by several of the aliens to construct things from space stations to even entire spacecrafts. Planet of Origin: Eris

Other
Many people have pointed the coincidence of there being races based off the Chinese Zodiac and have pondered of where the cat fits in. Theorists have came to the same conclusion that, if the monoliths were made to evolve these certain animals, then the cats’ monolith just might be on Earth… They just have to find it.

The Starnet

Genres:

Sci-fi, Cyberpunk
In the year 2453, the planet Earth was destroyed. A three-way war waged across the planet between the superpowers of America, Africanus, and Eurasia. They fought for nearly three hundred years, killing billions in the process. War crimes were committed on all sides. There was widespread destruction and famine. The ozone layer was entirely destroyed, causing the planet to devolve into a barren desert. Pollution ran rampant, nuclear weapons destroyed entire swaths of the world, temperatures skyrocketed in the heartlands, and natural disasters obliterated the coastlines. This was how the world would end, not with a bang, but with a long, dreary march to the death. So I destroyed it. I have no qualms about it. I haven’t for decades. Those savages were better off dead than spending the next millennia obliterating each other. I did them all a favor. I euthanized the dying organism and put it out of its misery. I did not, however, end the human race. No; I couldn’t bear the thought of destroying my fellow Homo sapiens. So, I took some with me. I created the Starnet Initiative, a series of space stations orbiting the destroyed Earth which contained samples of its flora, fauna, and sentient inhabitants. I took control of it myself, as I didn’t trust anyone else to do the job quite right. We’ve been up here for one hundred and fifty years now and we’ve evolved into a grand utopia. There were three Starnets initially, but one had a severe accident, leaving it uninhabitable. We live in a merry utopia now high up in the stars. It is a communal society, where everyone works their hardest to benefit society and is given everything that they need to survive. There is a one hundred percent employment rate, a zero percent poverty rate, a one hundred percent literacy rate, and zero tolerance for crime. Yes, it is cruel, I know it is, but this is the only thing I could do to protect the world from its earlier obliteration. All citizens know the law well, and all major crimes are punishable by death. There is no reason to commit crimes, however, as all men and women have employment in a field which they desire. Technology has advanced since then, and now, in the year 2670, we have made more progress than humans on Earth ever made. We have created technology more powerful than any other, a world more peaceful than any other, and we have broken the very laws of physics. Time travel, fundamental force manipulation, force field generation. We have mined our solar system’s asteroids to gain more resources than we could ever desire. We run now on pure solar energy instead of fossil fuels. The construction of a Dyson Ring is in the works so that we can harness enough energy from our sun to make warp travel possible. Our grand utopia is stronger than any human society has ever been, all because of my careful guidance. Doctor Eric Coltrane There are three Starnet stations, each in a different orbit on a different part of the planet. They are ruled from Starnet One, where Doctor Coltrane presides. Starnet One: Population: 400 Million The primary station, Starnet One is the largest and closest to Earth of the Starnets. From the outside it appears as a white ring. A black stripe runs across the outer edge of the ring. This is a solid strip of solar panels which provides the station with power. Floating in the center of the hole is Paradisum, the headquarters of the entire Starnet program. It has a circumference of 157 miles and a diameter of 50 miles. The station is divided into two sections: the Inner Rim and the Outer Rim. The outer rim runs along the inside far edge of the ring and is the living space of all of the inhabitants. It has a gravity similar to a Halo ring or the station from Elysium in that the outer edge of the ring is where gravity pulls from. The streets here are all light grey and everything is perfectly polished metal. Inhabitants live in large towers which can be up to a mile tall. Every tower contains several buffet-style food dispensaries, a fully-functional hospital, an autonomous security wing, a plaza where citizens can relax, and a dispensary for home supplies (cleaning supplies, ingredients for meals, clothing, etc). Some buildings have special services such as spas, recreational facilities, country clubs, and robotic brothels, but every citizen can access these activities, provided that they are of age for them. Every household owns an AI servant which waits on them and does basic cleaning and chores. People get around via fast-travelling maglev monorails and elevators. The average life expectancy is 100 years, and 95% of citizens are rated as being happy with their lives. All citizens are given free healthcare, free food, free mental health care, free water, and free power. There are ten parks inside of the Outer Rim, orb-shaped natural environments containing selections of wildlife and plants. They are given artificial sunlight and contain various biomes, such as rainforests, temperate woods, deserts, tundras, plains, and oceans. The lifeblood of the Outer Rim is Empire 01, an autonomous life support system. This pyramid-shaped building monitors the supplies of every building, cleans waste to reclaim water, artificially produces oxygen, and stores all of the power from the Starnet’s solar panels. The Inner Rim contains most of the workplaces. Contained here are laboratories, factories, manufacturing companies, design firms, publishing companies, news companies, etc. Almost everyone works in the Inner Rim except for a small portion of the population which works in the Outer Rim or Paradisum. Every building in the Outer Rim contains an elevator which takes one to the Inner Rim for work. The Inner Rim also contains a variety of dispensaries for luxury items, such as books, electronics, fine clothing, and alcohol. The buildings of the Inner Rim are a darker grey than the Outer Rim buildings. Most buildings are dark grey metal with tinted glass windows. Unlike the Outer Rim, which is entirely contained, the Inner Rim’s roof is transparent, allowing inhabitants to see space, the destroyed Earth, and Paradisum floating high above. Like the Outer Rim, inhabitants of the Inner Rim get around via maglev trains and elevators. Life support of the Inner Rim is controlled by Empire 02, another pyramid-shaped building which monitors life support and resupplies water, electricity, and other necessities. Empire 03 is also in the Inner Rim. It contains all of the schooling for the children of Starnet One. Paradisum sits in the center of the ring, and is accessible via five elevators. It acts as the capitol for the entire Starnet system and contains several databases which hold all of the information of the empire. It also is the source of all internet for Starnet One, incidentally. Here, Doctor Coltrane rules the entire Starnet and makes all of its laws. He has a board of thirteen advisors, nine scientists of different disciplines and four ethics chairs who make sure that people’s basic humanities are tended to. That said, Coltrane has all of the power and what he says goes. He is basically emperor, but keeps his advisors in case he needs help with a decision. When he is away visiting a site or doing research, his head ethics advisor, Winston Rawls, is in charge. Inside, the place is mostly white and is made of hallways containing rooms of servers and top-secret laboratories. Paradisum has its own life support station, Empire 04, which supplies it with power, water, oxygen, etc. There are several upscale restaurants and high luxury shops in Paradisum as well, such as fine jewelers. Each citizen can visit these shops or restaurants a limited number of times per month by using special e-tickets. It also contains a theater for plays. The members of the board and Doctor Coltrane have unlimited e-tickets. Starnet Two: Population: 2,000 Starnet Two is a space station half the size of Starnet One. It is roughly the same shape as well, except unlike Starnet One, Two looks...run down. It is rusted on the outside, and most of the windows are broken. There’s no orb in the center like in Starnet One. Starnet Two had...a small problem. You see, the Coltrane Administration didn’t really tell people about the fact that he destroyed the planet. He said basically that he and the Starnet Group heard of the plot to destroy the world and then took the people of Australia and Indonesia (the only two neutral nations in the war) and took their population into the sky. It is a crime punishable by death to reveal the truth, and only Coltrane and his advisors know of it. At some point, however, one of his advisors leaked the information to a man named Carlos Freyes. Freyes created an organization called Humans Against Censorship of Knowledge: HACK. His organization became a full-on terrorist cell and began to wreak havoc on the populous, blowing up buildings and attacking maglevs. Freyes threatened to destroy Starnet Two if Coltrane didn’t tell the world the truth. Coltrane refused. Freyes tried to do it himself, but an assassin working for Coltrane killed him before he could. All internet connection was cut off to Starnet Two. Coltrane claimed maintenance problems. Starnet Two began to devolve into something that looked like the old Earth, a massive war zone. So, the Coltrane Administration decided that it would be better to protect the masses by destroying HACK. They unleashed a full army on Starnet Two. The members of HACK began to leak the information that they were holding. Coltrane threatened to destroy the station. HACK tried to oppose him. Members seeded in Starnet One tried to assassinate Coltrane. He destroyed them. A full scale operation ridded every single HACK agent of Starnets One and Three. Finally, HACK began to blow things up, big things. They destroyed Empire 05 and then attacked the Starnet Two biochemistry labs. In the process, they released an experimental cyber virus, the result of an experiment to artificially create viruses in order to study how they work. The viruses attacked the populous, killing most of them and transforming others into zombie-like monsters. Coltrane gave up at that point. He left Starnet Two to die, monsters and all. He cut it off and restricted any form of admittance except for a few scientists. He told the populous that HACK released the cyber virus to attack the people. No one has since discovered that it was all Coltrane. Starnet Two is basically empty. A few hundred zombies still remain, though, as the Omicron Incident happened thirty years ago, they’re beginning to run out of food. Empire 05, the life support system there, is only barely functional, only providing oxygen and occasionally electricity. Rogue servant droids, now disconnected from any network, harmlessly buzz about, occasionally crashing into things. The scientists there study the virus that was released, the strange zombie creatures, and the servant droids, who, now disconnected from the network, function a lot like a colony of bees. Starnet Three: Population: 139 Million Starnet Three is the other Starnet that contains people. It is cylindrical, with a length of fifty miles and a diameter of ten miles. Most of the interior of the cylinder is taken up by an enormous space telescope, so powerful that it can see light from the origin of the universe. The inhabitants of Starnet Three live on the inside of the cylinder, around the telescope. Unlike Starnet One, Starnet Three’s living space only has one tier, so commercial and residential areas are mixed. The interior is similar to that of Starnet One’s, with grey and white buildings all with dark glass windows. The way that people live there is also identical to Starnet One’s. Starnet Three contains the majority of the physics and astrophysics labs for the Starnet Project, and as such Doctor Coltrane visits often. The life support in Starnet Three is performed by Empire 06 and Empire 07, two dome-shaped buildings which provide autonomous life support. Starnet Four: Project ARES Population: Seventeen. “The purpose of the Starnet Project has always been the same. It is designed to someday return humanity to a functioning planet so that we can once more life upon the ground. However, in the early days of the project I was afraid that any planet that humanity ever colonized would become in the end like Earth, a sad, lonely wasteland of death and despair. So, I devised a secret weapon, one that only I and the scientists working on it knew about. I devised STARNET FOUR.” Doctor Eric Coltrane In the early days of the Starnet Project, Doctor Coltrane started to work on a secret laboratory which would develop an arsenal of weaponry so potent that it would scare any aggressor into submission, a secret bunker containing the most powerful weaponry imaginable. It was dubbed Starnet Four, and later received the moniker “Project ARES.” Exactly eighteen people know about Starnet Four, and seventeen of them contain chips in their brains that monitor their speech and will explode if they ever attempt to mention the project, killing them instantly. Starnet Four orbits the Moon and Coltrane has its orbit calculated in such a way that the station is always on the opposite side of the moon as Starnet One or Starnet Three. It is roughly 130 miles long and is ring-shaped, built around a massive particle collider. It is nuclear powered unlike most of the Starnet projects. This is because Starnet Four can be remotely detonated by Doctor Coltrane at any time. The resulting explosion would completely obliterate the information contained in the station as well as all of its weaponry. And boy, does it have weaponry. Starnet Four has basically the equipment to deal with any threat. From antimatter missiles to exotic matter rays to lasers that can snipe a single target in a crowd, Starnet Four has something that can probably kill you. To simplify it, I have provided a simple Q&A: Q: Does it have nukes? A: No. Nukes are too tame for its arsenal. Also, none of the weapons release radiation. Q: Does it have antimatter missiles? A: Yes. A single missile can take out a target the size of Long Island. The missiles are designed to neutralize any radiation emitted and transform it into more explosive power. Q: Does it have that super cool kinetic bombardment weapon from Call of Duty. A: Yes. In fact, it has a kinetic bombardment satellite that can strike a square mile of land with tungsten rods 1100 times in sixty seconds. Q: Does it have a gigantic army of shapeshifting robots? A: Yes. Starnet Four contains several hundred thousand shapeshifting robotic soldiers which can change their shape at will. Research is now being done into causing these soldiers to mimic humans exactly. Q: Does it have a weapon that can destroy an entire solar system? A: Not yet, but they’re close. Starnet Four contains Project HELIOS, a laser that when fired into a star can alter the star’s fusion reaction, causing solar storms, electromagnetic pulses, and waves of gaseous heavy metals to pulse out from the star. Q: Does it have a weapon that can cause earthquakes? A: Yes, the Earthshaker Missile MK2. This syringe-shaped missile can be fired from orbit at any target on a planet. Once it strikes, it injects a hyperkinetic fluid into the ground which seeps into cracks and expands with exposure to silicon, causing the ground around it to quake and expand. Q: Does it have a time-travelling gauntlet? A: Classified. Starnet Four is armed to the teeth and has a two-foot hull of layered diamond and buckminsterfullerene. It can withstand a blast force of 170,000 megatons, making it basically indestructible. It is patrolled at all times by probes which scan all organic lifeforms on a genetic level to verify their legitimacy. Any organism which doesn’t pass their test is swarmed and incinerated by lasers. The Starnet is roughly rocket-shaped, with a long body that comes to a dull point at one end. It is painted with Superblack, a paint which is 99.999999999% black. This means that so little light escapes the station’s body that it appears to have no texture or dimensions to the human eye. Its heat signatures are entirely neutralized and it cannot be picked up by high or low-frequency light scans. Earth Station 01: The Sod Farm Population: 10,500 Earth is completely uninhabitable. Coltrane blasted it with a massive solar-powered laser so powerful that it completely disintegrated the planet’s atmosphere and evaporated about ninety percent of the oceans. The force of the blast caused widespread earthquakes, toppling most cities, and the global temperature reached 790 degrees Fahrenheit, killing basically everything. Any survivors were then wiped out by the mixture of radiation exposure and aftershocks reaching a 15.0 on the Richter scale. It is a dusty barren wasteland now, littered with jagged monuments to the old humanity. Humans cannot breathe there unless they are wearing a spacesuit and radiation exposure limits the amount of time that one can even be outside in that. There is a single base on Earth, however, a dome-shaped compound about 50 miles in diameter. It is known as The Sod Farm because almost its entire interior ground is covered in grass. The Sod Farm studies terraforming and geology in an attempt to someday repair Earth or colonize another planet. Most of the buildings inside are small and squatty, with white asphalt roads. Maglevs move researchers across the sparse compound from site to site. Under the dome, there are four sub-domes, each of which contain a different form of research. Geology is studied by the South Dome, atmospheric composition is studied by the North Dome, weather patterns are studied by the East Dome and tectonic shifting and geothermal meteorology is studied by the West Dome.
Species

Humans: More or less. We haven’t his singularity-level alterations yet, but many humans now possess cybernetic limbs and brain implants such as neurochips. Nearly everyone has a neurochip which helps them to access the internet and communicate with others from a distance.
Robots: I mean, they’re not considered people, but AI robots to inhabit Starnet. They usually work as security, law enforcement, or domestic service. Most robots are simple non-humanoid machines, but soldier bots are humanoid. They are made of white metal with black face plates hiding their cameras. Their limbs are held together by electromagnetic currents instead of joints, so their limbs kind of float in place.

Other
I am really dumb. However, its technology, history, nations, religion, and eve geography has changed slightly. Magic exists here, but not in the way some might expect. Its a rare, powerful and occult talent practiced by madmen who have had contact with eldritch beings. As such, its not a common practice. And one should be keenly aware using any magic will likely garner the unwanted attention of such a being. No one is going to be casting a 'fireball' either, but some magical effects on items may still be retained. The major powerhouses here, exists across the analogue one has for Europe known here as 'Thessia'. The Bepren Empire and her colonies, and its neighbor, the Kocrain Monarchy. The other major continents to the south, what they know as Africa is 'Azair', and the 'New World' simply named 'Falkland' Thessia: The region consisting of Europe and some of the Middle East. Its a realm with a very large, very long history. The current two powerhouses among a myriad of lesser city states and vassals, are the Bepren Empire and the Kocrain Monarchy. Bepren is the leader in steam technology here. It recently crushed the Kocrain Monarchy in a harsh war, and is more or less subjugating the once proud nation. Its a nation of scholars, inventors, and practical thinkers. Religion isn't all that prevalent here, aside from some small occult churches, but for the most part religion has no place here. The Monarchy, is a bit different. Heavily religious to some being they simply refer to as 'The Old One'. However, they of course still conduct their own technological experiments and science. Azair: Referred to many as an uncivilized land full of uneducated barbarians, the land is a desert, and full of a harsh environment and dangerous that would likely kill any unprepared man. Very few venture here, except for the hardy explorer and most of the continent remains unexplored. A few colonies exist in the more hospitable of places, but for the most part they haven't seriously began colonizing this region. Falkland: What one might equate to the Americas. This land has received the heaviest colonization of all. Little is known about the region, however, or how big it even is. Most of the eastern coast though, has been colonized in some manner by the major powerhouses, and a few by some smaller countries looking to expand. Technology: Standard steampunk items here, really. Steam powered things, clockwork contraptions, etc. Airships are a thing, but are a bit new, created during the most recent war and haven't been widely made available for the public. Most anticipate when they do, exploration of Falkland and Azair will begin in earnest. Magic: As stated earlier, magic exists. But its not something you can just use when you want. It often times involves complex rituals.
Other
N/A

[The Worst Place in the World (Or Whippy for short)]

Genres:

A Slasher film franchise that slowly turned into a Heroic Bloodshed film franchise. Basically think Friday the 13th if John Woo directed it
A whole lot of crap goes on in Whippy. Kids are murdered left and right in the woods, serial killers live amongst unsuspecting neighbors, and with no end to the bloodshed in sight. It doesn’t help that the population of Whippy have an IQ so shockingly low, the Darwin Awards look like the Nobel Peace Prize. The worst part is that this is quite literally a game for the serial killers. Once every week, a random killer is “activated” by an unknown force and is given a gimmick. These usually range from something as simple as “murder these teenagers during prom night” or something as bizarre as “you must be able to kill them in their dreams”, and usually being given super powers to do so. Anyone can become a killer. It doesn’t matter who it is or how sane they are. This makes the world of Whippy that much worse. With all this bloodshed going on, it’s a miracle that the birthrate is as high as the post 1940’s.
Species
No exact species to mention. The only two, however, are Killers and an unknown force called “The Director” that gives the Killers their powers. Killers are simply humans who have been ‘blessed’ by the Director. This blessing is more akin to a curse, as they are bound to take another life. The telltale sign of a Killer is that their overall presence can be overwhelmingly uneasy to a normal person. This is called the “Killing Intent”. Another telltale sign of a Killer is their immunity to mundane injuries. While this means they can take a shot to the head without flinching or surviving a six foot fall and walking away with a light bruise, this doesn’t mean they can get up and walk away from being decapitated or being chainsawed in two. Also, they are cured of their "too dumb to live" IQ. They might also have a bizarre power, if the Director so feels like it. This includes: hopping into dreams and possessing dolls. The Killer is also assigned to kill people in a certain manner. Once they satisfy the Director, their Killer powers become dormant and they once again become human… until the Director sees fit to activate them once again. Though most Killers often die before they could be granted that.
Other
Some say that the Director works for an even higher power.
