Kaiser Oblivion - Gourd Lake
The Kaiser laughed a tiny bit at Henry's joke, but didn't miss the meaning of the sentence. Wherever he lived, the continent was probably in infancy, and was fighting said war for land. Though this helped discern that Henry was most likely from the past, Denys was not certain. Henry didn't seem to know or care what year it was. Miss Cane, on the other hand, responded that she was from 2006, more than 300 years before Denys had been born. As the three walked towards some sort of shack, Henry probed Denys about his abilities. It was only fair, Henry had displayed his proficiency for spells. But the Kaiser ran into an issue in how to describe it. His abilities were quite out there, to say the least. Many would regard them as useless and needlessly complex, but Denys knew how to use them well. He rubbed his hand over the asterisk badge he had pilfered so many years ago, still with him now even after all this, after he had mastered the job and it became part of him. The sentimentality of the moment was enhanced as the futuristic woman played a few notes on her lute. He barely even noticed he and the group had entered the shack, but once the door was knocked on, he snapped back into reality. It was unlike him to get so emotional, it was best if he put it away for now and tried to explain to Henry what he did. As Henry greeted the two new men, one seemingly a diplomat in an odd suit, and the other an obvious knight, though the design of his suit was quite innovative. The interlocking pieces were curved, allowing blows to glance off more easily, and a thick glass was inserted where most knights simply allowed nothing. Though the Kaiser was quite taken by the man's(?) armor, he was not taken by his behavior. The knight roughly shoved Henry out of the way, and began searching the cabin for something. Denys hated, more than anything in this world, others being trotted on. He quickly drew his Claymore, and commanded the knight. "You will apologize to my acquaintance." He demanded, before an odd squawk sounded. It was by a bird, rambling on about something. Though the phrase "The world is wrong" did catch his attention, the Kaiser did not back down. It seemed Henry would get to see his abilities in action, rather than having them explained.
