As the group finally made it to the Citadel, Mary's mind began clearing, and the pain in her probably broken ribs began subsiding. The light, soothing heat of the Council's home made her at ease, even though she had just gotten back from trying to tear an eldritch beast's carapace off. She decided to check on Midori, who she had callously forgotten about. She hoped, more than anything, that the little girl was alright. If she was, then their retreat was worth it. Quickly making her way over to the unconscious body, Mary checked her pulse. Alive, thank god. With a sigh of relief, Mary rolled up the young girl's left sleeve to reveal the bruised and bloodied left arm. It hurt to look at such an injury inflicted on someone so young, and it hurt Mary even more to be unable to help. Though originally she was going to major in biology, she had decided to become an engineer instead. She had no idea how to do anything but replace said arm with a prosthetic. It'd be best if the girl was just allowed rest. As Mary picked Midori up, Souta caught her attention. He was full of such energy, Mary couldn't help but pause at his command. Apparently, the monster revealed to him the location of a seal! With a smile, the Order Knight congratulated her friend. "That's great! It seems we succeeded, even if we didn't kill Nichts." She said. Frankly, she was glad the Abyssal hadn't been murdered, it was a sentient being with a ton of knowledge. She and Akoni would definitely be paying it a visit, someday. "I will be taking Midori to my room, but could you walk with me? My Falling Leaf Blade was destroyed, and I need a replacement." She explained, beginning to walk to her room to place Midori on an actual bed. "Could you help me with that? I assume you have knowledge in the field, being part of Regalia."
[@Lugubrious] [@liferusher]
