Silas stumbled to his knees as he practically fell out of the portal, back into the Citadel. He never thought he could be happy to return to the hellish location, but it was better than being in that goddamn Library, staring his failures in the face. He cursed to himself, looking at his allies, all similarly out of sorts after the assault on their minds by that Abyssal, Nichts. He grit his teeth. What a pitiful showing. By all of us. No information about the Seals. We didn't catch that monster, Sevrin, or whatever his name was. We lost to the Abyssal. What, in actuality, did we accomplish, aside from an armful of musty tomes and scrolls? Such an answer then came as Souta stopped all of them, sounding somewhat urgent. Silas turned toward him, swaying slightly on his feet, eager to find something to do that involved sitting or lying down. His exhaustion evaporated somewhat as he heard what Souta was saying- he knew where another Seal was. Somehow, some of the information Nichts had assaulted him with contained the information all of them were looking for. Silas' eyebrows raised, shock evident on his face. "You... you mean to tell me... that we got exactly what we were looking for, completely by accident?" He swayed again, now in shock. He started laughing- he couldn't help it, it was just... too funny. Everything they'd done, everything they'd gone through in that Library, and the very thing they were searching for just fell into their laps. He nodded, smiling, as he patted Souta on his shoulder in as companionable a way as he could. "Great... great work, Souta. I guess. I mean, I'm not really sure what any of us actually did, but we got what we needed. So... thank you." He grinned as he walked off, any tiredness or delirium forgotten. In fact... Silas looked over his injuries, the ones inflicted by the Abyssal, after it had assaulted him with those energy... fragments, or whatever. The energy flechettes. That was an idea. Maybe he could do something with that. He walked off, buzzing with ideas, his mind putting together schematics and designs. It looks like I have some work to do.
