Sam shrunk away from the red flame, pushing herself as far into the seat as she could.

She was a little too slow to stop the carriage, to stop the balloons flying towards them, the charm dying on her lips As the balloons burst. Her mind flickered through charms, as the stench began to overwhelm them. She didn't have anything that would help, except for a water charm that would leave them both soaked to the skin. [color=f6989d]"there's a magic store nearby, we can get a negate charm"[/color] she managed to say, glaring at the retreating carriage, she thought about using a charm, but decided it was too much bother for little gain. 

Taking Ferris's hand, she gently tugged him in the direction of the magic store.
