Character banners can vary drastically and sometimes are needed. I have 2 characters in one RP and I need to have a banner at the top to state which one I'm using. In saying that it's just a H3 name and a location listed uunderneath so it's not too obstructive.

Worse I had was someone that added a full image every post of their character that was about 800 pixels high. It was annoying to say the least.

More or less it comes down to "is it tasteful?" and "does it improve the post?"
