Picture: Bio: For most of his life, Rodney was a very reserved, well to do, and structured person. His mother died almost immediately after giving birth due to complications and for the rest of his life his father raised him, more or less. His father was a professor of physics and moved around every few years for new jobs when Rodney was in high school. So while the first half of his life was relatively stable, the second half involved him moving around a lot and starting over. Rodney had a “mom” most of his life because eventually, his father had remarried, but after moving a few times, she left and Rodney’s life was shook up even more. These circumstances led Rodney to form a rather rigid set of practices, starting first with his schooling and profession. In short, Rodney would plan things out with much care and though, and stick to them. They were generally “safe” bets, but not easy roads. He say the financial gains and opportunities that were available as a civil engineer and took to it. It was not easy, but he saw the benefits of putting the work in up front and did so. While he was very smart, he made sure to put in effort as it was required to attain whatever goal he had. It was not long before his career started and he eventually was married to a women he had met at work. It did not last however as Rodney’s somewhat rigid, work orientated life style didn’t suit his wife’s desires. He ended up moving around much himself for moderate periods of time, but he resided in Florida. He would travel when projects came up, see them out, then take some time to himself. Eventually, he had accrued a significant amount of money and realistically could have probably retired at 30, but instead, he decided to get married again, and this time his wife ended up taking him to the metaphorical cleaners, leaving him with only some property and a little money. It didn’t matter too much to him financially as he could make it all back quickly, but it did damage him mentally and he had began to suffer from depression. Eventually, as life stabilized, he settled in and while he was no longer battling depression, he was more rigid and focused on his career than ever. Oddly enough, he was home less and less and because of this, he ended up becoming more social and opening up slightly. A few months later, he was approached by several government officials who presented him with a unique opportunity. He had been mindful of reports of strange things happening, but he was not sure how much he believed it. He told the officials he would contact them back, and he spent one day unsure of what to do. It was when neighbors started turning on each other that he decided it was a serious issue, and that he could do something responsible.
