Species: Human
Homeworld: Nar ShaddaaAllegiance: Empire
Starting Location: Tatooine
Gender: Female
Languages: Galactic Basic, Huttese, Twi’leki
Occupation: TIE Ace (Contracted), Occasional Spec Ops - She’s primarily a pilot, but her skillset is sometimes best used when she’s on the ground, sneaking behind enemy lines.

Hair: Black, blue tips (and sometimes red tips. It’s a mood thing.)
Skin Tone: Pale
Tattoos/Scars/Piercings: “470” is tattooed on her right wrist, and “Eat My Ass” is on the back of her neck.
Personal Style: If “Eat My Ass” wasn’t an indicator already, Shira’s a bit of a punk. If biker gangs existed in the galaxy, Shira would be the prototypical space biker gang member. She’s rebellious (ironically), and her appearance often reflects that. She wears a lot of leather, and her hair color and style are both prone to change at any given moment.
Independent * Loner * Focused * Singleminded * Expressive * Zero Fucking Filter
Sexuality: Not interested.
Relationship Status: Not happening.
Personality: Shira Jen is 100% self-serving; there is absolutely nobody in the galaxy she cares for more than herself. She prefers to work alone, as she finds that having people around brings her down and distracts her. If you got shot and she was your only hope for survival, you might as well dig yourself a grave rather than waste time asking for her help.
She’s ruthless, a result of her upbringing on Nar Shaddaa. Shira has no qualms killing if she has to, no matter the target or the circumstances. However, she’s not exactly an exceptional assassin, so it isn’t really a situation she finds herself in too often. Rather, much of her killing is does from her fighter, her true love.
Because nothing matters to Shira more than flying. Quite honestly, you could take everything away from her but a ship and she’d be happy. Her deal with the Empire? A bonus. The cherry on top. She’ll gladly work for them and get to live semi-freely on a Star Destroyer if it means she gets to fly. And hey, sometimes shit gets to die when she flies. A second cherry.
Habits:- Talking to herself - they have to remind her to turn her radio off when she flies. She shuts up when she’s sneaking around, though.

The Reason You Chose The Side You Did:Shit, they pay well, they have good resources, and they’ll probably either execute Shira or dump her ass in a hole for the rest of time if she doesn’t, at this point. Not that she’d consider working for anyone else, to be quite honest; Shira enjoys working for the Empire. Nobody else in the galaxy can give her the flying time or the resources that they can. Even if she wasn’t being essentially blackmailed into flying for the Empire, she’d probably sign up to join them anyways.
History: When you’re born on Nar Shaddaa to two poor shipyard workers, you get two choices: be poor with your parents and be a fucking shipyard worker, or run away and join the life of crime. Shira took the smart road: crime. Her early teenage years were marked by a series of high-profile thieveries of some very expensive ships, which she would then sell on the black market to the highest bidder. It was dangerous, but no one on the planet could break in, steal a ship, and fly it out in one piece as well as Shira Jen, even at the young age of 14.
After five years of increasingly high profile robberies, she caught attention from the wrong places - or the right ones, if you’re Shira. She was approached by a Hutt who needed some help with an Imperial problem: they were consistently raiding his shipyard and taking his cargo for themselves, and he wanted it back. Shira took the job, or jobs; they ranged from intercepting the Empire’s interception of the Hutt’s cargo and preventing it from being stolen, or go steal back whatever it was they managed to steal. Shira was quite successful, managing to properly piss off the Empire enough to get them to go after her.
But finding one 19-year-old on Nar Shaddaa was no easy task, even for the Empire. So they went to the source: the Hutt. Finding a Hutt is a lot easier, especially when you’re already raiding his black market cargo. They used him to contact Shira, at which point they gave her an offer she couldn’t refuse: work for the Empire, and not only would they not go after her, but they’d pay her more than whatever that Hutt was cheaping her out for.
However, Shira recognized that she still had the advantage: even though the Imperials found the Hutt, they still couldn’t find her. So she negotiated a couple key points: she’d fly for the Empire, but she wasn’t being conscripted into their army or navy. Fuck that. She’d be closer to a mercenary if anything. That, and they’d let her modify her fighter however she wanted. She knew about how strict Empire regs were about their fighters, and she knew she could make her fighter
so much better. On both points, they agreed. Shira joined the Empire, taking on the callsign SJ-470: the 4 for the number of raids she stopped on Nar Shaddaa, the 7 for the number of times she successfully infiltrated an Imperial base and got out alive, and the 0 for the amount of times she got caught.
Shira quickly became a top TIE pilot in the Imperial Navy. She was one of the few to take part in the Battle of Yavin, survive, and make it back to Imperial ground without being captured by the Rebels, and nobody could match her kill count save a handful of pilots.
It was also only a matter of time before the Empire recognized that Shira had a talent for sneaking into places and taking things; her adventures into restricted access rooms were proof enough of that. Her role was shifted so that not only would she be flying TIE fighters for the Empire, she’d be occasionally sneaking into Rebel bases and doing some dirty work. Her missions have ranged from stealing intel to assassinating a Rebel leader.
She’s since been sent to the Vindicator following the defeat at Endor, her services to be available to the Imperials however they see fit. She comes with a lot of caveats - more than the Imperials are typically able to withstand - but her abilities more than make up for it.
Character Quote: “Give me a fighter and a blade and point me in the right direction.”
Theme Song: Imperial Record: Breaking and entering, trespassing, destruction of Imperial property (7 counts apiece)
Anything Else: I said Force Awakens last time, so I guess my second favorite has gotta be A New Hope. A classic.
