He is reasonably muscled, but doesn't get all that much exercise and as such isn't nearly as big or toned muscle wise as he could be. He is pretty chubby however and that gives him a rather heavy and imposing looking build. He has rather plain and somewhat squashed looking features, with pale skin, intense looking brown eyes and dark brown hair. His haircut is unremarkable, plain and tasteless. Most would not consider him attractive. Perks: Weapon Proficiency: Handguns Adaptability. Loose Cannon/Unpredictable. Stats: S: 7 P: 6 E: 7 C: 3 I: 7 A: 5 L: 5 Personality: James is a quiet and thoughtful lad these days, often being found with his head in a book or just sat somewhere listening to a jukebox. He doesn't have a fear of socializing or anything, but he's been quiet for so long now that he is somewhat out of practice and it tends to come across in conversation. If one were to pick his brains though they'd find him surprisingly intelligent and open to all sorts of conversation, as long as the subject matter kept his mind stimulated. One of James' defining personality traits is his inability to relax or do nothing. He is constantly on the move and if he's not moving around doing something he's reading or working his mind somehow. If he absolutely must sit and do nothing you'd find him very fidgety, his feet twitching and his fingers tapping. Some of James' best traits are his intelligence, curiosity, humility and doggedness. Some of his worst are rudeness, somberness and to some, his sarcasm. Background: James was raised mainly by his father, Luke Mason, one of the few vault security chiefs. Due to the lawful and authoritarian nature of his dads job he would often be the target of bullying, or attempted bullying at least. His large size and cold 'don't fuck with me' attitude made it so that the majority of people who held resentment against him kept their distance. He loved his father, but being an extremely curious and constantly questioning young man his fathers "do what I say and don't question me" attitude increasingly rubbed him the wrong way and caused a bit of a personal rift between them as James became a man. Still, there's no questioning he picked up most of his convictions from his father. His mother, Rose Mason was a beautiful, intelligent and ever supporting woman who contrary to her husband taught James that no one was beyond questioning. She gave him book after book and encouraged him to learn as much as he could outside of the classroom as well as in it. Unfortunately she developed VDS (Vault Depressive Syndrome) and found it difficult to live day after day in the vault, especially once she had read everything there was to read repeatedly. With two very diverse parents James grew to be a conflicted but intelligent man who eventually took over his moms old job as book keeper and librarian. James has a few friends in the vault, primarily consisting of those who often visit him to get and return books. To them he is known as a quiet but inspired young man. Others secretly fear he is destined to go down the same path as his mother, or has already started to.
