The Remonnet's had a mage on the throne once, if I recall correctly. He kinda went 'poof' and disappeared thoughhhh... But wow, yeah. If Aurelia and Duncan go through with everything then.. Wow, glad they instituted those better-mage-treatment laws, eh?
All part of the plan ;)
[@PhoenixWhite] Indeed. No one knows what happened to him...except me :p. The Remonnets have had two mages in there family. One was a third child who was shipped off to the circle and was discouraged from having children and the other was a king who again didn't have children (what with him disappearing). As a result any magic in the Remonnet bloodline died out with both of them. House Mazeltof and House De Reimer are currently the only two High noble houses that still have something of a magic bloodline (particularly Mazeltof). [@Sundered Echo] I imagine she would be in tier 5 if that is OK with you. Though that may seem low compared to the other people on the chart do remember that it still makes her one of the most powerful mages in all of formaroth. Given that house De Reimer has also had mages within their family before (and weren't discouraged from having children, unlike most nobles houses) the chances of having another mage on the throne will be higher than most.
I'd thought tier 4 initially, (based on a quick comparison to Drevala Blackwells number and magnitude of skills) though I can see five... Lana's use of magic isn't really innovative, just strong and often. On another note, looking back over her CS, I think I need to flesh out the present beyond her political studies. Things like what House Thale actually does, what her current magical studies are and how much time she actually has for them (not a lot I expect).
