Here's how it is, plain and simple:

We're in a star destroyer, relaxing, after some planetary excursion. This will be the start of the roleplay; here, we may be friends from different branches, etc. 

The star destroyer is taken down, forcing us into escape pods, the like of which crash land on a very hostile, alien environment, deep in the outer rim. 

We're all brought together by adversity and coincidence, and are then thrust into a fight for survival, and our lives.
