@dabombjk
um.

How is bruce Kyle's grandfather? Just cause...Phoebe is only 22, and has no child XD i'm happy for him to be, but we'd have to work out a back story

It is more of an honorary connection. and @katherinwinter uncle could work as well but to me bruce is more of a father figure to dick so thought grandfather was more appropriate. I always saw dick having bruce as a father figure in his life for any scenario needing a father. but if you guys want me to change it I will I'm not super like bonded to the grandfather thing.

If you still want a parent, you could look into Starman (Thom Kallor) and say her power is a stronger version of his

That's a really good fit for the powers. It might take a bit of wiggling to make the backstory work, but I'll definitely consider it. For now, I'll stick with how it is, but yeah, thanks a lot.

@Caits
I didn't mean for him to be a finished character, I wrote that as a broad description of his abilities. Just because those are abilities he has, doesn't mean that he has complete control over them.

wouldnt: Nanite Knowledge (His Bio Nanites can store vast amounts of information, so much so that every book on earth can be stored in a drop of his blood.) make school unnecessary?

If his only purpose for going to school was to obtain information then yes, it would. He's attending the school for training, for control, not algebra.
Also, just because he can store the information doesn't mean he already has it. The Nanite knowledge only acts as enhanced memory, like super-powered photographic memory.

Personally, I'm more concerned about the ability to control energy and matter, that is, everything that exists. Even the personality section says he's "infinitely powerful". Is that really a good idea, especially in an unstable character?

Again, I reiterate that just because it's within his ability, doesn't mean he has complete control over it and can use it as he pleases. For the time being he isn't capable of more than a few energy beams and absorbing radiation.
DC has a history of creating powerful characters, and in that history the only limit to their powers have been themselves. How powerful do you think someone afraid of using their powers can truly be? Aside from flight and enhanced memory he isn't currently too gifted, though a few years of trainer could change that, at his current state he isn't too powerful.

To reiterate the point to everyone across the board, he has potential to become a very powerful character, but he is far too untrained to be much of a threat to anyone but his own devaluing self-conscious.

The problem with having an omnipotent but untrained character is that they are here to get training. And once that training happens and they begin to access their capabilities, they become completely game-breaking. Sure, comics have powerful characters, but this is not a comic. It's a roleplaying game, and a good game requires balance. And when an theoretically omnipotent character reaches their potential, that balance and then the whole game gets shattered.

With his current abilities (flight, memory, absorbing radiation, energy beams, regeneration and robotic strength), that's already a very powerful character. Perhaps that should be the limit of his abilities, and could just get more skilled with those?

@hagroden you do realize that they attend normal classes right? High school or college level depending on the kid. I have no problem with photographic memory. I was thinking more instant memory, he touch a book and knows everything inside.

I made some changes to the CS, taking away his Quantum Abilities entirely.

Is this alright, or if not, do you have any suggestions on how to change him?

In my humble opinion, with the changes, he isn't really any more overpowered than some of the other really durable characters the RP has had in it's past, like the son of the hulk, I think some kids of superman, Thor's kid, or the ones with high regeneration, like the son of antivenom or wolverine. Again, just an honest opinion

Considering the fact that he's composed of nanobots, more or less, could a sufficiently skilled hacker hypothetically highjack them and control his body until he fights them off? Or could the hacker possibly alter the memories stored in the nanobots? Are they metallic in nature? Could someone with control over the electromagnetic spectrum damage him by exploiting that?

@Vulture585 They all have weaknesses. Superman-kerptonic, hulk-calming or knockout. I dont know all the people you listed well enough to list all their weakness but I am sure they had them. You need a weakness. I think Vultures idea could be one but I dont know your character well enouhg to know if it would or not.

Piggybacking on this - can the nanobots get a virus and be corrupted that way? Are they susceptible to EMP damage? As they're inorganic material, does that mean he's immune to things like poison and the like? How about substances that corrode metal?

OK, finally posting my petite psychic powerhouse. Caits, Kath, and everyone else - if you see anything wrong, please tell me. Don't give me an easy pass because I'm Co-GM. Also, me and Spriggs' characters are related (in a fashion). I talked it over with him directly and we're both cool with the idea.

Name: Jinayah Ifriti
Allias: Orbit
Gender: Female
Age: 16
Parents: Richard Ifriti and Yumiko Takahashi (both deceased) / Slade Wilson (adopted dad)
Powers and abilities:
Telekinesis – Jin has inherited the ability of telekinesis (TK) from her mother. She can lift upwards of 300 pounds while on the ground, and far less so while airbborne as her own weight is factored in. Anything after that gets difficult, and Jin starts to get migraines and nosebleeds. Jin is downright incapable of any fine control with her power, however. While her mother could use her mind to turn a key in a car ignition, Jin would probably wind up moving the entire car.

TK Fighting – Orbit focuses her power and aims a punch or kick at the same time, attacking a point both physically while increasing the force with telekinesis. This increases their strength ten-fold. It is also very draining.

Burst Jump - Jin uses her TK to basically shoot herself off the ground. She can achieve high distances, but unfortunately doesn't really have a good grasp of it. She may easily push herself too high altogether and miss what she's aiming for.

Mechanical and tech genius – Jin loves to fix vehicles and machines, and dabbles in refurbishing and upgrading these in her spare time. Computers are more of a side hobby. She prefer being able to work on the hardware rather than the software because hacking isn't nearly as rewarding.

Numbers Nerd – Jin seems to have an almost innate understanding of high level math and physics. This is something she uses to help her “fly”, as she calculates how much force she'll need to increase her speed. It also helps her have excellent aiming skills with guns and thrown weapons, as she's able to rapidly calculate distance, force, etc, seemingly instantly. It's not completely perfect, though – Jin still has to be able to see what she's aiming at, and if the thing she's trying to hit is mathematically impossible, nothing is going to fix that.

Hand to hand combat – Jin knows the basics of various forms of combat. However, in an actual fight, she doesn't actually have any particular set style. Most of the time she just devolves to inelegant brawling.

Weaponry – Jin can handle a few weapons, but aside from having damn good aim, she really hasn't landed on the right one for herself.

Equipment:
Tech suit – Orbit's armor, built by her and her father. It's made of light material, but wired with small emitters. Those emitters are set to a frequency to match Orbit's weapons. While she can use her TK to boost them, she much prefers to use the transmitters and signal to them to open or close, even fly in set patterns.

Blade orbs – Heavy metallic orbs that either can be used as blunt weaponry, or opened up remotely into razor sharp projectiles. Orbit manipulates them via transitters embedded within her gloves.

Personality: Jin is an energetic tomboyish young woman. She lacks certain social graces, and is extremely blunt most of the time. She grew up a little bit isolated, and is rather unaware of how to make friends or really deal with people her age in a normal context. Jin also tends to emote quickly, especially toward anger. However, it can vanish just as quickly. When Jin likes something, it's obvious, as she'll sink into a sort of focused trance. This is most obvious when she's working on tech- she'll forget regular meals (and occasionally showers). When she doesn't have a project, however, Jin tends to be a little bit distractable. Slade suspects she has ADD, but Jin utterly refuses to be tested.

Bio: Jin is the daughter of Richard Ifriti, a detective, and Yumiko Takahashi, a retired assassin. Yumiko worked in Japan for most of her career with a group known as the “Death Camas”. She used her powerful and subtle telekinesis, along with a well-honed katana, to rise to the top of the ranks in her group. It was during this career that she met Deathstroke. They became allies, and they got along well enough that they worked together whenever Deathstroke had to take contracts in her region in Japan. However, the killing life grew empty for Yumiko. While still at the top of her career, she quit without warning, vanishing from the Death Camas group and starting fresh in the US with a little assistance from Slade.

Yumiko and Richard met after she was “retired”. He was a well-regarded and intelligent homicide detective, and she had taken a job as a court bailiff. They fell in love, and stayed together even after Yumiko divulged the whole truth of her past and powers to him. They married happily, and eventually had a baby girl named Jinayah.

Yumiko's past came back to bite them all when the Death Camas came knocking. After a brutal battle, Yumiko and Richard were both killed, but not before taking the assassins with them. This was lucky- Deathstroke found the last assassin had bled out on the stairs, barely 6 feet from where a now 5-year old Jinayah had taken refuge in a closet. He'd come too late to save his old friend, but decided to repay his debt by taking in her daughter. He knew that the Camas would never let the child live if she was left alone. Also, she tried to stab his hand with a kitchen knife when he opened the closet – he saw promise in the girl and didn't want her to be wasted in some orphanage.

Slade Wilson was not the best father, but the two eventually warmed up to each other. He trained her well, eventually explaining to her that he would allow her to take revenge on her parents' killers, and take on contracts when she was old enough, and skilled enough. Jin liked this idea very much.

When Jin was about 15, Naka appeared in their lives, claiming to be her father's biological daughter. Jin was a little upset by this. She was pretty sure this girl was an impostor, but eased up when Naka passed the various tests that Slade had put her through as well over the years. She was closed off at first, not really knowing how to deal with another girl her age, but eventually warmed up and happily calls Naka “onee-san”.

Deathstroke decided to send both girls to the Academy. Partially so he could get back to work without having to worry about them, and partially so they could pick up new skills and even future contacts. Jin's downright excited about the opportunity, especially to take courses that will help her fine tune her telekinesis.

Extras: Jin is dyslexic and has difficulty reading. She will do everything she can to hide this fact, as it makes her feel "stupid". Only Naka and her father know. Jin makes up for the difficulty by recording her lessons with a hidden audio device, and has downloaded several programs that will dictate textbooks to her. Aside from math symbols, her handwriting is atrocious. She also has insomnia that creeps up every now and again.

@Mistress Dizzy I am not familiar with your parents. Your list of skills is alittle long I think I need a better idea of how much she can do and which ones she is still working on. I am considering another Character. I like Katherin but she is alittle....boring....

@KatherinWinter I really don't mean to come off as rude, but if there was a section for weakness I would have filled it out. I left the possibilities open for interpretation from other writers, Such as @Vulture585. Just because I don't have active warnings for his weaknesses doesn't mean they don't exist.

And to answer @Vulture585's questions,
While he is primarily Nanotech, the Nanite cells are biologically fused. To take complete control of him would be possible, but extremely difficult. The aspect of memory storage could be manipulated, and anyone with technological telepathy or technically inclined powers would have an extreme advantage over him, as well as people with electromagnetic abilities.

Another weakness that I explicitly stated in the CS is that he is vulnerable to any non-physical attack. This means that he can be harmed by energy blasts, magic, heat vision etc. etc. He can't be hurt by getting stabbed, but aside from his regenerative abilities he's just as screwed as anyone else when Cyclops gets pissed off.

@Mistress Dizzy
He would be immune to Poisons and things of that nature, as well as not needing to sleep, drink, or eat. Unless stated explicitly otherwise, he is vulnerable to anything that would logically damage advanced technology.

@KatherinWinter Her parents (like half my characters in this honestly) are OCs. I couldn't find a mother that suited what I wanted for Yumiko. Deathstroke's the canon tie. Also I'll get fixing the skill list. Maybe I'll remove the flight and have her just doing a high jump kinda thing. It makes sense that if she's having trouble controlling the fine-tuning, that she wouldn't actually be able to fly accurately. It'd probably look like that one scene from the first Iron Man where he has too much thrust while he's testing the suit. I will make some adjustments shortly.

Eh? She's not coming back. Read the last line of my post again. Rebekah has just entered the hall where all the students will be gathering for the official start of term stuff.

That was an autocorrect issue. I meant to say, "reappears," as in, when she popped back into view
