Now that it's up (and I like the backstory sections, btw), I have questions.
Well, one really. If I attempt something that would require a roll, do I just determine what's necessary myself and just have it in my post? Like...say I wanted my character to climb up the side of a building to get people's attention, would I just write something along the lines of:
Yobi <climbs up the side of the building> (using < and > to show what's linked to the roll result saying a success in this case)? Or do I just say what's being attempted and wait for a response? (Or are rolls being saved just for things that actually matter to the plot and our characters automatically succeed on everything (within reason) when it doesn't?)

You should roll everything assuming you dont know if you succeed or not.

And just write it into the post like that with a link to the roll? What if we're not sure what/whether to roll? Just ask in here?

Can't we take 10 on some rolls?

I would prefer you put your rolls at the end of your post so as not to clutter it.

Yes, you can just ask here if you're not sure what roll to make.

You can take 10 if your character is not in immediate danger or distracted.

I'll probably either finish my post tomorrow, or have it mostly done.

I'm not really sure what to post right now, since this is the only the second time I've played this game before. I'm slightly lost :P

The best advice I can give is this: Put yourself in the mindset of your character, take the intro post into consideration and ask yourself:

What would YOU do?

This is really no different then regular roleplaying. It's just that you now have dedicated numbers and defined abilities to what they can do.

Should I roll for information gathering(and those 1d4 hours) or that would be detrimental at the start of the story?

Edit: Or consider he just failed his previous roll?

A Bit detrimental yeah. There's things going on and no real time for using up hours of time.

And there went half my post. I will try to write more on my later posts when there is more to respond to.

Sorry about that. Usually you'd have all the time to make rolls like that, but right now at the beginning, we have some more dedicated things going on.

Of course, that doesn't mean you can't make an appropriate Knowledge roll if it applies and you can explain it good enough.

Does filtering truths/lies counts as general knowledge? I only now saw you need to be trained on the skill to use it for anything beyond that.

Basically any Knowledge skill needs at least one Rank in it before you can actually use it.

Unless you have a feat that says you can use it untrained. I think Silver does.

Edit: My post is terrible and gives very little to interact with. -_-
