The problem here is you're controlling Chieko. I'm telling you to not too.

And yes, Chieko would protect that stuff at the cost of personal injury. If he runs into her without stopping, then she might stumble. It depends - but the fact is you're still controlling what Chieko would do.

EDIT: TO be clear, you're assuming she would let herself be run into in the first place - she's honestly a bit too observant to not be aware of her visible surroundings. Is she a little...distracted? A bit, but not enough to be rude enough to run into someone.

Secondly, you're assuming she'd trip and fall if she was in fact, run into - she'd stumble certainly but unless he [i]trampled[/i] over her, she likely wouldn't fall. I've run into my fair share of people, and I never fell unless they just barreled over me.

Thirdly, as stated above - you're assuming she'd make the logical choice and protect herself rather than the last vestiges of her world she has at the moment. Which as above stated, she wouldn't.
