I wouldn't say that you "need" to, as long as you fulfill the anatomy: in my mind, that's a response to something that has occurred, potentially internal dialogue or character development, and then an action which allows others to respond and move the story forward. If that's four lines, so be it.

it says advanced but really i just want to have an awesome, character-realistic story
