That's what I was going with for Vampires, of course. But they aren't vampires - *supposedly* distantly related and descended from them, but aren't 'true vampires'. They don't drink blood, and behave much like everyone else. They do have minor weaknesses to holy magic - but that's thanks to their blood and that most are simply taught darker magics from birth.

They are very aware of the stigma attached with them and isolate themselves because of it. Instead of vampires though, I could simply make them nobles who call themselves that from long use of 'Blood Magic'.

If that of course, is not acceptable I can change anything I need too, since you say Dark magic isn't all that prevalent.
