Name: Kuro Tamagi
Age:157 (Old enough to have a good grasp at youkai abilities, young enough to be a smug idiot)
Gender:Male
Race:Baketanuki
Appearance: Kuro can take many appearances, but his actual, most common appearance is that of a young, 5'10'' dashing young man, dressing in an immaculate white suit with a brown striped tie, expensive italian shoes, and black gloves. His short black hair is combed backwards, and he has dark bags under his brown beady eyes. [s]Like all tanuki he also has sizable junk.[/s] His TRUE appearance also includes round-shaped racoon ears, a bushy ringed tail, rings around the eyes [s]and also sizable junk.[/s]
Personality: Kuro is an ambitious raccoon from the Tamagi clan, who has grown tired of the stale old ways of a lot of youkai, and has reinvented himself as successful, yet ruthless and self-conceited businessman. Kuro puts a lot of emphasis in his personal benefit and wealth, and he's not above tricking people for his own ends. He also dislikes other kinds of shapeshifters like foxes and mujin, and in the case of foxes, he also envies their other magical abilities and overall better standing. He also seems to know the importance of caring for one's underlings, even if he truly sees them as disposable pieces. Deep down, he's just someone with deep insecurities, and that hides his own weakness behind his money making skills.
Abilities: Transformation Master: As a tanuki, his transformation skill surpasses that of foxes, and can take any humanoid form or shape without great effort, and somewhat inanimate objects, being able to fool almost all mundane detection devices. Although this is only apperance wise, having none of the durability nor skills of the people he copies. Almost all his transformation have a flaw, though, as they retain his raccoon "attribute" (which is shown "elsewhere" in the case of female transformations). He can hide this flaw, however, but only for limited periods of time. His mastery is such that he can even fool supernatural detection means, but like with his flaw removal, it can only be done for a short amount of time. Tanuki Illusions: Like foxes, Kuro can create vivid, longstanding, multisensorial illusions which are quite realistic and hard to shake off. However, unlike more elder tanukis and foxes, he does require a sizable material component (IE: leaves) in order for them to work properly. Without them, he's only limited to personal illusions or short-limited ones. As a skilled illusionist, it's pretty hard to trap him into one too. Animal Senses and agility: Kuro has heightened smell, hearing and nightvision. He also can move more deftly than an average human.
Skills: Aikido: Since Tanuki are usually non-confrotational beings, Kuro isn't the best fighter out of there and he has learned aikido in hopes of redirecting opponents attack against him. It'd probably not work on good martial artists, however. Information SkillsAs a businessman of the ruthless sort, Kuro is good at deducting things and finding secrets about rivals, in an effort to overturn the situations with better intel. He's also decent with computers too. Midas Touch: Like foxes and other tanukis, being a spirit of good fortune actually makes Kuro a good money-raiser. He instinctively knows which are the best ways to get money and funding, and he is imbued with great luck in gambling and business endeavours.
Equipment: Suit Cellphone Bag of Leaves [s]His junk[/s]
Brief Backstory: Kuro was born in the forests of rural japan, although he came to witness the rise of the industrial revolution. Thus, the young tanuki learned to adapt quickly to the ever changing eras, and he wisened up enough to actually survive so many changes in such short time. However, he grew arrogant and confident, and usually clashed with the elder's more conservative dogma of not trying to interfere too much with human business. Kuro was fairly confident that such a thing would eventually lead the tanukis into a rocky spot and thus raised a concern and a rebellion among the Tamagi clan. His voice and modernized manners attracted some of the youths, but it wasn't enough. Kuro wanted more. He had become embezzled with the bright, modern world, and he entered the spiral of consumism and materialism like a child greedily eats an ice cream. The Imaginary district, the intersection between the two worlds is a perfect ground for his plans and machinations, and he has ever since set up home in there, waiting for the business chances to make him a top figure in both worlds.
