Insane? Shizune couldn’t quite find the right word but it definitely wasn’t smart because none of these idiots could qualify to even having a brain. Well, except Katashi and Yuriya; they at least held common sense. All of these thoughts flashed in Shizune’s mind as the portrait before them burned. But it was not out of the action of monster but of man, Anri muttering some deluded babble before placing her lighter against the frame. At once the portrait exploded into flames as if parodying the image it was meant to convey. As Katashi took care of the fire and Yuriya dragged Anri off to the side, Shizune also clasped a hand around the lighter girl’s shoulder. “How many times do I need to tell you idiots to not touch anything,” she hissed, near ready to slam Anri into the ground and leave her there. “Why do I bother keeping you lot alive if you’re just going to damn yourselves, huh? It’s a waste of my time.” She would have said some more biting words but frankly the sound of Iyato’s voice drew her attention away from flaying Anri. Instead, she sent a truly hellish glare in the direction of the newbie, who had appeared in a classroom just a few feet further back from them. Great, another problem for her to deal with. Even so, she couldn’t get Iyato caught up; not yet. Not when the portrait was still burning underneath Katashi’s feet, no matter how hard his efforts to douse it. Thankfully someone or something had the bright idea to spew water on the portrait, as if a hose had manifested from the darkness. It reduced the portrait to a charred, wet lump while also getting Katashi’s shoes thoroughly soaked. “Where did that…come from…” Shizune muttered, eyes trailing the path of sudden water. Before long her gaze feel on another portrait, this one hanging on the wall beside them. Compared to what they had thus seen so far, this one was less bizarre and even somewhat familiar.
