I [i]need[/i] someone who has a good sense of humor and likes animals. 

Otherwise, I'm not particularly picky. Obviously, I'd want the two of us to have a lot in common, but I don't generally nitpick traits. If I had to specifically search for traits, I'd look for honesty, kindness and loyalty. I think I would also need someone who would let me keep a few secrets and also allow for independence from both sides of the relationship.
