I'll be honest. I've had people swear the same thing, up and down. [i]It's never turned out well[/i]. The lack of reinforcements did alleviate my fears, but the ships that could rearrange the geography of a fair amount of earthbound nations simply by landing rather served to reignite them. 

But the rulings been made, and I'm not the type to continue to demand an RPG change to accommodate my preferences once the GM has had their say. So I'll simply have to wait for one that does.
