I intend to reapply with the answers to these questions, and some adjustment on the getting onto the ship. Given the nature of the character, and her history, and how little I know about the world so far; I didn't know how best to tackle these questions. My next question is, as I am tackling these questions, do you want me to create a new, revised post? Or, shall I simply edit the original post?

And, if I were to amend my backstory from being a stow-away to being a survivor found in space (from the ship her mother died on), and brought aboard, would that be more amenable? It solves the problem of a child finding out about a program she wouldn't understand, while still preserving the essence of the stowing away.
