"Ah. That might be problematic," York commented to Ken upon learning he had forgotten his name thanks to the fall "suppose it won't do any good to ask if you remember the last thing you were doing before you woke up here then." York finished bluntly, deciding to ask everyone he met while he was here the same question. Perhaps there was a pattern to be found in it, and if he could find it, maybe he could get them home... York's attention was brought back to Ken upon his questioning on Roland, who he noticed had not turned back to investigate Ken when he heard the thud. More of the Clint Eastwood type than the John Wayne type of cowboy he supposed. "Not sure I can call him my friend yet, but he is an acquaintance." York answered to Ken's question. He quickly assessed that Ken had likely suffered a concussion from the fall, figuring that was probably a step below forgetting your own name from a fall, and gently took one of Ken's arms and hung it around his shoulder. It would be no good leaving him behind here on his own, surely. "The man up ahead is named Roland. He has a lot of titles to go with that name, but you can ask him for the full list when we reach him," York explained, staying near Ken to help him walk "As for me...FBI Special Agent Francis York Morgan. But please, just call me York, everyone else does." ----------------------------------------- Kieri tensed notably when Ainz started picking her up. Had she been able to, she likely would've summoned her sword on instinct then and there, but knowing that would likely end badly for her for once she was glad she had the collar around her neck. She blinked in surprise when she was set upon Ainz's shoulder, trembling just a bit but otherwise sitting steadily as he went to work. Within seconds, the brace was gone. Kieri gasped audibly when she felt some form of magic wrap around it, having grown up around magic enough to know what it felt like, even foreign magic like Ainz's, putting Ainz more and more as something she could've encountered back home in her mind. She rubbed her neck for a moment, savoring the feeling of having it off and feeling her own magic capabilities return to her. Her wings twitched a few times, more or less checking to see if they were usable again. They were numb, but she knew they'd recover. She looked at Ainz as he walked towards the portal, swallowing audibly before speaking for the first time in what felt like forever. "T...T-Thank you..." She managed before Ainz stepped through the portal, the glow once again changing colors for a few seconds before reverting back to its original electric blue. --------------------------------------- The last thing Kieri expected upon coming out the other side of course was being dropped in the middle of an ambush. The toads were still focused on Harvey and Japser, though Jasper was looking more and more amused by the minute as she planned a path of destruction in her head. The gem glanced briefly over to the entering Ainz and Kieri, but thought nothing of them. At worse, they'd get caught in the crossfire. "Sir! More are coming through!" Warned Cat T., turning her spear away from Jasper and Harvey and on to Ainz and Kieri. Several other toads followed suit, gritting their teeth as a far larger and more imposing foe sauntered in. Not so long ago, they likely would've turned tail and run, but now they simply could not afford to. Kieri's eyes widened again at the sight and she quickly leapt off of Ainz's shoulder, landing on the ground in a crouched position. Upon standing back to her full height, she had summoned her Holy Water Sword, wrapped in median cloth to hide its true value to any greedy on lookers. She made a point of not yet unwrapping it, knowing the situation would likely break down into full on combat. "S-Stay back!" She warned the toads, who held their ground.
