Magus staggered, and Daniel choked- on the monitors, his heartbeat stuttered and he gasped, clutching at his chest as Magus suddenly had it's footing removed, crashing to the ground. Cameras showed the beast wrapping itself around Yeager, and plasma fueled hellfire engulfed the city all around them. In the background chatter of the coms, he barely registered X-7 or AA-XOTRY, other than the request for support. [color=fff79a]"Magus reporting, Yeager is constricted and unable to move. My core weapons systems are down and out."[/color] It would be moments before the Cruxi squad arrived, and then they would both be dead. Magus possessed medium armor, but that wouldn't hold out long enough for anyone to arrive. He canceled a horde of red alarms and blaring speakers for the second time that fight, and then Daniels eyes grazed the command console,

and he was back on coms, speaking rapidly. The only weapon he had left would be deadly to friendlies nearby- which really gave him one option.

[color=fff79a]"This is Magus. Do not approach sector C2 unless Magus is visible on radar. I repeat. Do not follow me. Complete the mission."[/color]
He prepped the boosters, smiling as the enemy cruxi hesitated to engage- it appeared they actually considered the tentacle beast valuable. It was interesting, and part of him wondered if the beast was sentient, or simply expensive. Daniel closed his eyes and took a deep, shuddering breath. He had one shot, and it wasn't a great one. Fortunately, he didn't have to aim. [color=fff79a]"See you in the next life, Yeager."[/color]

He activated all of Magus's boosters at the same time, targetting C2, and was surprised when Yeager's boosters fired up as well- pulling the opposite way. Hopefully the force of the two opposing thrusters would make the beast let go- that or rip off its appendage in the process. If he could make it, the plan was simple; On entering C2, attach all capacitors to the electrical field generator... and drop in on the squad like a fist of divine judgement. Hopefully Magus's armor would absorb enough of their shots to stop them from killing him instantly- but wether he was alive or dead, those capacitors were going to unload on something.
