Lyra Lyra giggled and clapped her hands along with the funny woman's song. "You're silly!" she annouced. She felt some water drops hit her and looked up fearfully. She hated rain storms. The lightning and thunder was scary. But the sky was clear. There was no rain. Then where had the water come from? She didn't have time to think about it long. The woman was singing again about a tea pot. Lyra giggled. "You're not a tea pot silly!" she exclaimed. "I like you. You're a nice lady. The cour-teers are mean," she informed Laira, making a face. "They are stupid heads and they call me names. Stupid stupid-heads." As the two laughed and played together the trees were carrying the message through the realm to inform the King. "The beloved of the King bleeds..." "She bleeds..." "The beloved of the King is injured..." "A stranger... "Stranger..." "A stranger with the beloved of the King..." The whispers floated through the forest. The King would hear them the moment he returned to the Realm. And heaven help them all when he did. But most of all, heaven help the stranger. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Arys The winter queen chuckled lightly. "Oh my dear Dagon. I do not expect you to challenge Lord Falk. Indeed that would be sending you to death. No offense my Knight, but you would not last a breath against him. No. What I require of you is something safer, but none the less just as important and something I could only trust to you." She gently and gracefully touched his face, raising him to his feet. "Lord Falk sent a little human female to me. For what I am still not sure. She is apparently his pet of sorts. I would request you to stay close to this human girl. Watch her. Get close to her. Get her to tell you what Lord Falk's intentions are, if in fact she knows them. If not, see what you can get her to reveal about Falk himself. I will not go into this farce of a marriage unprepared as far as how to handle my 'husband', if that is what he truly wishes to be." The room grew colder along with her mood. "I do not look forward to this marriage. I do not trust Lord Falk in the slightest and I fear after my heart is returned I will be weak to his silver tongue. If I begin acting like a fool, I need you to remind me of who I am, protect me from myself."
