Griffin frowned at Kalind. He didn't think so was lying but it was still hard for him to believe that she had left with a student that she had known such a short time. It eased his mind that his friend was ok. He didn't have a lot of friends so he was very protective of them. While he would respect if Kalinda choose to go with the other boy. But he would not allow her to be taken against her will for any reason. The reasons didn't matter to him. It might not be logical but he didn't have to be logical. It wasn't his job.
