A small terraformer colony was set up on LG-239. A 'shake and bake' colony as the term goes. Their job : make the planet habitable for humans while being a makeshift space port for ships that happen to be cruising in the region. A boring job and a boring life. Nobody cares about colonists. They are replaceable and expendable.
One day a ship appeared in the stratosphere. It did not answer to hails and ended up suddenly losing orbit and crashing onto the planet near the colony. The men who went out to investigate never returned.

But something else did...

One by one the colonists have disappeared, with seemingly no help from the Weyland-Yutani company. After all, nobody cares about colonists.
Months passed with no help, with ships being advised to avoid the planet due to a supposed plague. Finally, all contact was lost.

Now a new ship has appeared. The passengers are not human and are there for one purpose :
to hunt...

This is an Alien VS Predator rp. You can play as either a human, an android or a predator. No xenomorphs are playable at this time, unless you have a valid argument about playing one but understand you will probably not last long. See Character Guidelines below for help in designing your character.

[color=fff79a]Predators are walking arsenals. With amazing technology far beyond human discovery, including cloaking and infrared in their helmets, they can track and kill nearly anything they come across. The thrill of the hunt is what motivates them, along with the honor that comes from a quality kill. Anything they deem a worthy opponent came be slaughtered and parts of their body collected as trophies to display as a testament to their prowess.
The downfall is that they tend to underestimate their opponents, giving opportunities to be outsmarted by clever prey. This makes the hunt all the more enjoyable though. Their bodies are solid but their fleshy tendrils on their heads are sensitive. If their helmet is damaged they can still see but their eyesight is limited to being similar to a humans. Their armor can be pierced by certain human weapons and the acid blood of a xenomorph.[/color][/hider]

[color=82ca9d]There are two types of Androids : the basic 'Working Joe' model (pictured above) and the more human looking X2 model. The X2's can look and act so human that many have been mistaken as human. But they are all subject to the laws of robotics. They are sturdy and can stand attacks that would severely injure or kill a normal human, even functioning after being torn in half or being decapitated.
The downfall is that androids can be subject to hacking and behavioral glitches. The 'Working Joes' are especially glitch, being older models and most in disrepair. Some of the human deaths in the colony have not been from Xenomorphs, but at the hands of Androids whose behavioral modifiers have malfunctioned or been completely shorted out.[/color]

[color=00aeef]There are very few, if any, humans left in the colony. Those who are still alive are few and far between, looking out for themselves. Humans are the weakest by far, but very clever and resourceful. I am allowing very few humans so the character will have to be very very good to be approved.[/color][/hider]

Now, the part no one likes...
[hider=The RULES]
1. No God-moding. I realize that Predators and Androids are both powerful in their own ways but they are not invincible. They can be killed and injured.
2. No Bullying! I take this very seriously. No nit-picking people's characters or posts. If there is an issue I and my co-gms will take care of it. And once we have made a decision, its done. No more bringing it up and discussing it.
3. I have a very open door policy. If you have a comment, concern, question or idea feel free to tell me either in the OOC or in a PM. I welcome all creativity. But remember this is my rp so if I don't agree with an idea I have the right to deny it.
4. If you are going to be gone for a while (RL is a bitch) then please let us know. If you disappear without a trace, so will your character. And if you return you will have to make another one.
5. This will be a horror and gore rp. If you are not comfortable with these things, please do not play.
6. I reserve the right to add more rules if need be.
