Background: Born on Earth, but raised on Demeter, Richard was lucky enough to witness humanity's rapid growth as a spacefaring race first-hand as the son of one of humankind's chief researchers into the newly-discovered mass effect technology. He was overjoyed to learn that his family would be among the first colonists to make a life for themselves off of Earth. To this day, looking out at the vastness of space fills him with a sense of wonder. At 18, he joined Alliance military and began a long, illustrious career as a soldier, blazing through the front lines. 12 years ago, Richard founded the Private Mercenary Company ARC alongside a turian friend of his named Jarek Arterian.
