Honestly, the drawing of the races happened as I started contemplating new character designs (and waiting on lectures to start) as I was having trouble really visualising the Spyrne and wanted to get something down so I could see how I'd design a character around it (plus spider people are cool and I thought my daughter would love to see it). The rest came about as an anger management exercise while dealing with an unsavoury person.
