[@Mercurial] Honestly, magic being known to the world was actually a typo that I failed to fix and decided to go with it since most had already created their characters already.

You have a point, but that's probably in the real world, not in the world the RP is set in. A world where magic actually exists and whatnot. Cults have been the culprit of a few devious deeds in the past few years, making the volatile animosity towards magic users, quite worse. 

Also, the school would know.

Anyway, that's what I've decided on. In this world, most cults, if not all, are illegal.
