She tried to not look at his leg, but couldn't stop herself. It killed her that she was forced to do that, but the man was alive, surely that was worth something? But to be alive in today's world? Was that a good thing anymore? She returned his gaze and walked up to him and tipped her water bottle into his mouth to give him some. She then set the bottle down on the small counter next to the bed, in case he wanted some later. She had plenty.
