Meruin, upon finding a nice corner to settle in, had fallen asleep. And as her master could attest to, she was a very, very heavy sleeper. It could even be said that Meruin sleeping was a magic in and of itself - it was nearly impossible to wake her up if she decided she did not want to. What did this mean, in the grand scheme of things? It meant quite simply that she had fallen asleep through all the chaos going down below the island. That was not to say she was unaware of what was going on; even asleep, a small portion of her awareness was kept on the waking world. The only reason she did not go down to join the others was simply because it was not to her interest. Why would it be? She had seen Heartless before, and even more than that, she had seen creatures far worse than they, with all their basic attributes pronounced to their furthest. The moment the Headmaster stepped into the hall, however, Meruin's eyes blearily opened, and her eyes found the man quickly. If he was here, it was time to get up. Picking up her luggage - which consisted of a single back filled with papers - she silently moved to join the rest of the students, looking for the most part an uninteresting, uninterested, and tiny waif of a girl. She sat down, crossed legged on the floor. This had the unfortunate effect of lifting her skirt and exposing racy black lingerie, but from the look on her face, Meruin hardly cared. Meruin paid attention to the Headmaster, mentally jotting down the rules, before frowning at the third one. She was hoping to conduct experiments in the confines of her room. Nothing big, and only slightly dangerous (then again, when was magic ever not slightly dangerous?); to be limited only to a certain room was constricting and frankly annoying. She decided to talk with the Headmaster about this later. It would prove problematic otherwise. The other rules were of little note, as they were somewhat expected. Still her interest perked at the demonstration of the uses of the 'Training Room' - constricting it may be to only be able to use her powers there, but she could thing of a million different uses for the applications of the room. It was really very impressive; especially its ability to endlessly supply the users with stamina and energy. Oh the things she would do . . . After the demonstration, the Headmaster stepped forward once more, and all but asked them to introduce themselves. The first one to do so was a necromancer by the name of Kaito Chigusa, accompanied by Raz the shapeshifter. The summoning of the dragon, while impressive, was a bit clumsily done - no surprise, considering how difficult it looked for him. Next was a boy named Zyxon. His ability to manipulate fear was nothing notable, unless there was a deeper mechanism behind it that could bypass her potential defenses. Third was a literal airhead named Devonis, who thoughtfully used his time to flirt with a student by conjuring a vision of him in the room. Why though? Fourth was a golem . . . it was literally just a golem. It could blend into the shadows and manipulate fire . . . but it was a golem. What was a golem doing on stage? Where was its creator? Was it a sentient golem? If it was sentient what was it doing here at a school? Meruin shook her head. No use over thinking it. She get more opportunities to observe the creature, so long as they were both inside the school. Deciding not to waste anymore time, the diminutive girl stepped past the others, walking towards the front of the stage. Green-gray eyes swept past the crowd, analyzing them, evaluating them. Everyone was probably expecting something, any kind of display of power, but the Headmaster never did say that they had to show their abilities, correct? Still, it would probably be rude to them so . . . Meruin conjured a small glowing ball of light in her hands, letting it float up feebly before disappearing. Her face was as blank as ever, but she seemed unusually pleased at her display. "Meruin Hazy," she said, and mulled about what to say next. The Headmaster did instruct them to say a bit about themselves, something they wouldn't mind sharing. ". . . all my undergarments were chosen for me by my Master. I don't usually wear them," she said with a shrug. Afterwards, she stepped down and returned to her seat.
