Darius Jacks is pretty much a normal teenage kid, standing at an average height of 5’7, with messy brown hair and light brown eyes. His complexion could be considered on the darker side of things, but definitely not enough that it’s tanned. Freckles can be spotted on his face and shoulders, which he attributes to that one-eighth of Irish blood that pumps through his veins, and his hands are large, callused not due to lifting weights or playing sports, but through handling tools. While he’s a little fat around his stomach, his arms are well-defined and sturdy. He can’t run like a marathoner, and he can’t stop swords with his one-pack abs, but Darius prides himself in being the undefeated champion of Shot for Shot, Mercy, and Arm Wrestling.

[b][color=fdc68a]Personality:[/color][/b] Darius Jacks is an individual that’s amiable and relaxed, taking everything in stride and calmly responding. His experiences have made it difficult for anything to really take him by surprise, and regardless of the situation, he is a firm believer in his ability to chug along swimmingly. To him, the world exists because he exists, and thus, there is nothing that is out of his reach if he reaches out for it. Unfortunately, there is also nothing significant that he really cares about, leaving him to simply be an ambitionless individual who lives life at his own pace. A slow and steady pace is ideal, after all, because there's too much he might miss if he went too fast.

[b][color=fdc68a]Abilities:[/color][/b] Darius has worked in a variety of jobs, from being a daycare volunteer to tech support to a line cook to construction work. He’s a fast learner, especially when it comes to hands-on work, and his confidence in doing well shows in how he interacts with others. His most prominent ability, after all, is to be confident even when he has no idea what he’s doing, because, hey, everything’s going to work out eventually.

Total, unrestricted flight. That is the cheat granted to Darius upon crossing the boundary into another world. With clockwork wings, he flies in ways that even birds can not, ignoring inertia as he acrobatically maneveurs through the aether. And if he can ignore the laws of physics, then there is simply no way that mere magic can stop him. As long as he is aware of it, he can negate any sort of curse, bind, status effect, or magical barrier that is placed before him. As long as he's willing, as long as he can imagine it, there is no place that those clockwork wings won't take him.

At least until he bugsplats against a transparent window.

[b][color=fdc68a]History:[/color][/b] His parents taught him to stop dawdling and get shit done. His teachers taught him to do what he wanted to do while he still could. His employers taught him to suck shit up, because the world’s a cesspool. His friends taught him that life was much too short to stagnate in. With all those inspirations, Darius cruised through life trying to experience all that he wanted to experience, and, by the time he became 18 years old, he came to the realization that there wasn’t much else that he was interested in.

That was somewhat disappointing. He had thought that the world was a bigger place than that. So, with some help from his parents, he went off travelling around the world, searching for something new in the world that he had been born in. Mexico, England, Brazil, Russia, Tibet, Mongolia, and finally, Japan. On that last stop, he took the midnight train on a whim, and found himself a new world.[/hider]
