[b][center]Introduction[/center][/b] [img]https://img.roleplayerguild.com/prod/users/8365d335-1ad3-41f4-a3f3-d41de9e2f7dc.jpg[/img] The Territories of Phinora, a once largely untouched land now experiencing a gradual population growth as the great powers of the homeland send more ships to the port of Vaolos. From here, the colonists set out to make themselves a home in the new world. Beware however, natives have already claimed this land and will put up a fight if they fear their existence and livelihood are at risk. Essentially a bog-standard nation rp, but with the addition that you get to choose whether you would like your nation to be a native or a colonist. Colonists have the added bonus of support from both the homeland provinces and from Vaolos and obviously do not get on with the natives who repeatedly try to expel them. The natives on the other hand have lived in Phinora for centuries and therefore rightly claim this land as their birthright. Federations among natives are not uncommon and usually involve the expulsion of a weak colonial state or a full out war against the colonial powers. Incorporated in this rp will also be a dice-roll system which will allow NPC countries to take actions against each other or against human players. Another separate dice roll system will also be used to trigger random events in various countries and a further one to create new countries with pre-scripted government types and histories. Each dice roll will occur once a week, with the last one occurring every two weeks. These occurrences will be brought into action at different times of the week to stop the rp from getting lifeless; NPC actions will occur every Wednesday, player events will occur every Saturday and the new nation roll will occur every two weeks on a Sunday. [hider=News] After a long series of conflicts between the Bardeshain mountain peoples and the citizens of Vaolos, both belligerents have concluded an official truce. Below are the terms: [u]Vaolosian-Bardean Pact[/u]: Article 1: The Kingdom of Vaolos must recognize the Kingdom of Bardesh as an independent political state separate from the powers and influence of Vaolos and her sovereign states. Article 2: Both participants must agree to a treaty of formal non-aggression for 10 years from now. Any independent bodies who continue to engage in conflicts will be put under the jurisdiction of their inflicted party. Article 3: The Kingdom of bardesh must declare its complete neutrality and swear to cancel all present and future agreements with any other tribal nation who has formally declared hostility to the Kingdom of Vaolos. Article 4: The citizens and peoples of both parties will not be permitted access to each other's territories for a further 5 years. If independent civilians are found transgressing on forbidden soil against the will of this treaty, they are to be punished according to the laws and customs of the lands in which they trespassed. Mr Merle is asking for volunteers suitable to the positions- two of which have already been appointed: Gawge Merle (Serayn's brother) as reformer for the poor, and Wydark Gripe as head of military.
