Crowe had hurried back to where K.C. was going, weapon in hand. She wasn't completely sure what she would see there with him, but could only imagine it was going to be bad. By the time she caught up with the other two kids, she heard K.C. scream. Instantly alert and running, she followed the sound of her cousin voice. 

Stopping near the edge of the grove Crowe saw K.C. fighting a winged beast of a woman. She watched him lunge after it but it moved. The fire was an effective trick. She thought for a second and pondered whether her ability would be needed for this. She didn't want to reveal her party trick until she had to, more fun and exciting that way. But, for this one, it would be necessary. Crowe took apart her double sided staff and readied herself for the fight. "K.C., you good?" she called over. If she could distract the creature long enough, maybe he could get a good hit on it. "Think I may have an idea." she added with a slight smile.
