Alessandra stared at him in disbelief and wonder. What had he done? Had he really released her? She felt her heart tighten with disappointment and confusion. Had he really given her up? Did he really not want her around? She breathed in deeply and slowly followed behind Adrian, silently. They stopped at the lake, and she took in a sharp breath.
