[@Shadow Daedalus]

Limits to powers? I like to think I'm fairly reasonable, but just in case. What are no-go territory? Magic which is going to be accessible to you guys early on would be fairly simple. Let's say you start out with some sort of fire magic, you'll only be allowed to do one thing with it aside from conjuring flames. So maybe something like shooting it out in a ball of fire or maybe creating a sword made of fire? No go territories would include anything that can be considered imbalanced. Basically, it would really depend. Time manipulation wouldn't be banned, but that would depend on what kind of ability you're planning to still have.
Ages? I can't imagine a 7 year old going on missions, or a 97 year old. Good point. Probably around 13-18. I plan to make the guild a place for the young. Somewhere they can develop their magical capabilities and individual skills.
Geography/History?. I've got some ideas but nothing concrete yet. Once we get some more people, I wanted to make world building somewhat of a group thing.
How widespread is magic? Does everyone have it, or is it a common but selective type where Mages are widely recognized but not as common as non-mages? I'll say its pretty common, but not everyone is trained to use it. So most people can only do simple things with magic. Given my previous example of shooting out fireballs, that would be simple magic. To make it more complex, instead of shooting it out, one can create multiple fireballs of various sizes that rotate around the caster in an axis to protect him/her from incoming attacks.
