[@NarcissisticPotato] Personally, I'm a fan of Log Horizon too. SAO was definitely a phase and I simply rode the hype when it was released. 

As for the time skips, its more of a way to avoid grinding and not really just a jump from one boss to another. As much as I enjoy a good combat post, I appreciate it when players genuinely just interact with each other. Basically, something similar to slice of life; the only difference is that your life is a VRMMORPG.

So yeah, no need to worry. If it would just be influence, Log Horizon for the plot and story then SAO for mechanics.
