. . . "Come on in Viktor," called Polyanna's voice from the other side. This time, she had taken on the appearance of a teen around sixteen to seventeen years old. She was standing in front of a shelf, filled to the brim with brightly colored candies. In fact, her entire office seemed to be decorated with candy, giving the room an overall bright and cheery feel, a reflection of its' owners general mood. Of course, for the one's entering for reasons related to their misdemeanors, it was probably more terrifying than anything. After all, Polyanna was a mage who was renowned for killing things with bright and tasty candy canes. For a mage that specialized in Candy Magic. to be surrounded sweets was like surrounding a demolitions expert with explosives and asking him which bomb would make the biggest boom. "Good to see ya, nice to know ya haven't disappeared again," said Polyanna dryly. Setting down a chocolate bar she was idly inspecting, she moved and took a seat behind her desk. "Ye can take a seat if you want. This won't take long." Polyanna paused for a moment to give him time to take a seat, before resuming. "Viktor, lessee . . . accordin' to the Headmaster I'm to put ya under probation for about a week. You'll also be servin' community service during then." Probation's in B.U.M. were about as you would expect from any other university, though here, there was the added stipulation of not being permitted to use magic during that time. During the length of the probation, student's weren't allowed to use magic, apply for field trips, or use the training facilities. Polyanna tossed a bracelet towards Viktor casually. "I'm sure ya recognize this, put it on before I continue," then with a sigh, "really, I get that you Weaver's are cursed an' all, but you ought to be learnin' how to control your abilities more. Imagine if ye had roommates with ya - you would have locked them in for god knows how long now. Speakin' of, we'll be gettin' an expert to deal with yer room, but in the meantime, you'll be stayin' in . . ." The woman rummaged through her desk, shuffling through a stack of papers before finally handing one to Viktor. "Room 20-D, with Klaus Knuez, Deborah Schneider, and Sri Ramachandra. It's temporary until we get yer room back, but I suggest ye make yourself comfy - we don't know how long that'll take." "So, I've still got a few things ta go over, but you got any questions Vik'?"
[@13org]
. . . "Of course I'm looking at their magic. I just got here and I'm curious. You would too if you could," said Militiades with a smile. In return, she leaned in closer, so that the two of them were separated by but a hairs breadth. "As for what I'm doing here, I'm a student, completely and totally innocent. What else would I be doing?" With a smirk, she placed a single finger on his lip, before pushing him away from her playfully. "By the way, I think anybody would be nervous if the - ahem - rather infamous blood-mage who killed his Master apparently knows their name even though they've never met. Pardon me if I sound rude, but you don't exactly look like someone who's safe to be around." Miltiades was curious. He'd managed to guess her magic, but it was just the surface, nothing that would actually prove threatening to her. But the fact that he had been drawn to her by . . . well, she wouldn't make assumptions, but it was definitely a curse. What that meant for her, she wasn't sure, but she wouldn't allow herself to get caught flat-footed in the case it was something that could jeopardize her mission. "So tell me, now that we've gotten to 'know' each other a little better, what is it you think I want. hm?"
[@Hippo AF]
. . . Meruin mulled over the terms of their arrangement. It wasn't bad - not bad at all - and there were no downsides as far as she was considered. Getting her into the forest wouldn't be difficult; securing a teachers permission for the both of them would be a simple task. "Very well, I accept," she said after a moment of consideration, "but I have my own conditions. I will help you get into the forest and contract a spirit. In return you will help me out. I'm going on a field trip three days from now. I'll need you to come with with me and assist me in securing a contract with a spirit." Yes, now that she thought about it, with Viola's assistance, she might be able to do something to give her a chance against Xinhua. The gears in her head were turning so rapidly they could practically be heard. The small mage smiled, and it was a thing of grim beauty. "Is that acceptable, Viola?"
[@Rune_Alchemist]
. . . Xinhua pursed her lips at the mention of Meruin. "I don't know if I can face her right now. Maybe tomorrow? I'm not angry at her anymore - I don't even think it was really her I was mad at, really - but it's somewhat embarrassing showing my face to her given the manner in which I, er, stormed out of the Mess Hall." The girl was visibly relieved that Lee wasn't upset with her anymore, and her stance was much more relaxed now. "Also, I'm sorry about losing my temper. It was out of character for me, and unworthy of my status as a disciple of the Dragon God," then quietly, "and as your friend." Clearing her throat loudly, Xinhua hurried along. "In any case! the duel is going to happen, nothing to be done about that now, but I swear I won't go overboard. And you shouldn't worry so much," she said. Xinhua grinned, at first looking normal, but as lightning began crackling around her and a series of out-of-place storm clouds formed above them, it turned feral. "Powerful or no, I am who I am. I no longer hold any grudge against her, but I will not make things easier for her."
[@Leoven]
. . . Rose stared silently at Charles for a long moment, before turning to Sergei. "Well, it looks like you've got your work cut out for you," she said with a sly grin. Grumbling, Sergei brushed her off and turned to Charles. "You've done nothing of the sort. The others are just confused. Most of what they're talking about is common knowledge, and they're simply surprised you didn't know about them," he explained, "as for what money is. It's what you need to get things that people are giving away. Not all the time though, but generally speaking." "In any case," cut in Rose. "We can learn more on the way, yeah? So let's continue on with the tour! We can stop by Angela's first and get you some new clothes Charles, and then look around more. We'll teach you more about money on the way I suppose. You really need to know about it while you're living here." So it went on like that. The first thing they did was stop by the clothing store, and Sergei, with Rose's help and whatever input the others had to offer, purchased Charles new clothes for his stay. The trip around the mall introduced them to a myriad of new shops, each of them carrying a wild assortment of things never usually seen inside a mall. For one, most pet shops didn't sell flying eyeballs as pets.
[@Letter Bee], [@olcharlieboi] & [@KiritoAsuna]
"Hey get in line!" "How about you get in line, I was here first!" A huge mob of students crowded around the office for field trips, competing with each other to get a reservation on their desired area for a field trip. It was understandable, after all, too many students couldn't go in the same area at once, and this was especially true of more dangerous trips. So when it came to securing a location, it was first-come first-serve. Naturally, that led to scenes such as this every once in awhile. "Get outta the way idiot!" "There. Are. Line. For. A. REASON!" While a majority of the students were tossing and shoving each other out of the way, another, smaller crowd had gathered around the billboard of available field trip spots. Murmurs spread among them as they looked at a new spot that hadn't been there in prior years: [City of the Dead] Journeymen only. At least five (5) people per group. Further details with Prof. Levi. "Hmm . . . was - was that there before?" "I don't think so . . . and it looks like a professor is involved in this one." "I dunno, looks kinda fishy to me . . ."
