Ako actually found a type of enjoyment as he joined the server. Sure, he never really said a word ever since coming in, but he really enjoyed withstanding blow after blow with his trusty shield. [i]No different...from reality. Get hit...all the time.[/i]Constantly exploring the entire layout of the Sanctuary, he found himself fascinated with the different ingredients and meals one could make from the loot of a creature. Not wanting to lose time in trying to gain a cooking ability, he continues to train and farm in gaining more and more abilities in both Shield Arts and Cooking Skills. 
Eventually Ako got a bunch of ingredients from farming and gathering materials. However, not that knowledgeable in online games so much, he only invested most of his Stat Points from Leveling Up into Defense Stats, HP, and Shield Proficiency. Another problem he faced was the fact that he was so slow in combat. He mostly dealt with that problem by withstanding most blows that came at him and blocking each attack as he moved toward a target. The last problem was the fact that he couldn't seem to be lucky enough to land a critical blow. Most of his strikes were at the body sure, but the times he swung at one's head or vital area, the target or enemy would be able to evade the attack each time. 
Despite all the problems he faced, Ako was still very satisfied in playing the game. Obtaining ingredients and using his natural toughness in combat was fun...but making the simple meals he could from gathering ingredients was even better. His loneliness and muteness may be somewhat dismal to most, but to him, it was peace and relaxation. He enjoyed his time here way too much and lost track of time done in the real world as he continued to explore the Sanctuary. Eventually he did decide to call it quits and not wanted to pay extra money to the Gamer Hut he paid before joining the game.
Pressing the Log Out icon on his menu...yet it doesn't work. Ako kept pressing it a few times, and still was very much confused on why this was happening. That's when he heard the announcement of everyone being unable to exit the game. To Ako, he was honestly happy that he didn't have to leave yet. This game was too much fun with meals he never had before (depsite being simple ones at the moment) and all he had to do was take hits. The downfalls were that his abusive parents will get EXTREMELY angry that their son is stuck in a virtual world...and the orphanage he always volunteers at...the kids. Ako put aside his own personal reasons for now and started to take the game a bit more seriously. This world was a safe haven for him...but those kids were much more valuable than the warm meals he gets here. The short shield bearer continues his journey, hoping to become the shield of the one who will get them out of this world he would very much call home.
