FearFest is back! You didn’t really think the Darksiders would abandon this annual tradition just because we changed location? If anything, we are given a unique opportunity: Mayweather students, who know nothing. Even the seniors have no idea of what's to come! That's right, the Darksiders chose not to mix things up with our sister school. Here's a little secret: this night we’re going to play a little game. But you, Delphina upperclassmen, are expected to do... more than the bare minimum of scaring our... 'friends'. We expect that you actively assist us and give everyone a heart attack. Act at your own desire but know that the consequences are yours to bear if you don't, y'know, spice things up, let loose, and challenge yourself in the art of terror. Ah, but what about the faculty? New school, new rules and such. Does Mayweather allow all this? The short answer: they do. The long one: they do and you shouldn't be prying for more. Just have fun! Your trusted Darksiders Commitée

[sup]Post created by [@Legion020], [@Aewin], [@lovely complex] & [@Viciousmarrow][/sup] Current Time: Pre-Fear Fest. The title: FearFest. In confusion, many across the school clicked upon the announcement link. Only to be brought to a page on an obscure video site called The Dread Feed that autoplayed a nightmarish video. Static and white noise. An image slowly appears in between glitches, along with the sound of maniacal laughing. There sits a hooded figure on a plastic chair, though the viewer can faintly see their face. The mysterious figure is limp and with blood on their skin. However, the quality of the video is far too grainy to see all the details. The hooded figure is surrounded by bare concrete with clear wet red stains on it. The floor matches the walls. Both a dull, lifeless grey. Thick, solid concrete. One lamp hangs over the apparent prisoner. And the laughing just doesn't stop. It keeps going on, and on, and on. Until suddenly a clown’s face appears. BAM! “Hello my dear- My dear- Students!” a mad laugh follows after the word 'students'. With messy makeup and hair going every which way, the funny man widely grinned. His hair is the color blue which draws quite the attention to the massive bald spot. But the true focus of the clown is by far his eyes. Those big beady eyes that emits the madness within him. His behavior is like he just downed 3 cups of strong coffee and decided to eat half a kilo of sugar. Completely erratic and non-stop laughing... Yet the second his laugh comes to a halt, his face snaps straight back to the lens, staring into your soul. He stands uncomfortably close, giving everyone watching an eyeful of his make-up and heavy breathing. See how ugly he is? Grotesque. Awful. Gross. “I can hear you all now- ooh oooh yes I can, I can! I can… heeeaaaarrr you asking.” he quickly licks his lips. Mm, delicious. He could just taste the lingering fear in his new friend. “Oh you think this all a joke. Hihihihihi. They think it’s a joke, a joke, a joke!” the clown moves to the side. Jumping and dancing. Full of jolly. “A joke! A joke! A joke.” his malicious laughter echoes in the room. He gets closer and closer to his prisoner. “A joke! A joke! A joke.” The prisoner does not find any of this funny. Do you? Jolting up when he hears the constant repetition of words, the man beside the clown places his hands on his ears. It was so incredibly loud. Non-stop laughing. Make it stop. Muffled screams escape his lips. Where was the light? Get me out of here. Trashing and moving on his chair, the man glances down at his restraints that won't loosen. Why would it? Eventually the clown dances around his new friend, who desperately wants freedom: “A joke! A joke!” With that final 'joke' both his laughter and his dance stops and seemingly out of nowhere (or in reality, from his back) he pulls a giant meat cleaver out. “A joke!” he loudly exclaims as the muffled screams of panic reach their crescendo. With one fell swing the funny guy disappears out of screen for but a second... “You think- you think this- this a joke!?” the clown growls at the man. At the same time the poor stranger's whimpers went from panic to incredible pain. “You think I'm FUNNY?! You think I'm HILARIOUS?!” he kept screaming. “They all laugh! They all laugh! All laugh! Are you laughing now!? Are you laughing AT ME!? ARE YOU!? ARE YOU!?” For a split second the clown stood with his cleaver high over the screaming prisoner, with the cleaver ready to finish him... end his misery. Funny, right? But instead he drops his weapon and takes something from his other palm and throws it at the viewer. Splatters now on the camera lens could only serve as clue of what the item is. Red, white, skin. Not enough time to distinguish the details. Soon after, it bounces off the camera. Picking up the object, the clown holds it high over himself, filming himself from top down. One little chopped toe, still dripping with blood. “A joke.” he snarls. Putting the cam down again, in front of a chair, that he chose to sit on, he rubs his hands in intrigue. Even now the background was grey and distinctly windowless. “Heroes- hihi- villains -hihihi- what does it all matter? What does it matter? Too late. All too late. Too late-” he came closer again, almost pressing his bloodshot eyeball against the lens. “For the reckoning!” With that the video shorts out.

This is the one event upperclassmen Delphinas can get away with absolutely everything but the worst of crimes. Since Delphina students have to stay on Mayweather territory the entire school year, Fear Fest is an event where faculty and staff hardly monitor their students. Only two supervisors will go on this trip, Professor Cecilia Lovelace, our lovely Mayweather Disciplinary & Defense Instructor, and Professor Michael Harrison, Delphina Supers Through the Ages Instructor. When you first arrive, the buses will drop you off at the gates of Krazy Karl's Happy Harvest Farm, where there is a dirt path that goes throughout the farmer’s pumpkin patch. To the left of the farmer’s home, an eerie, seemingly abandoned manor lies dormant, behind it is a hedge maze, but your path takes you to the right, where you are greeted by the sight of a well preserved, albeit aged church. The landscape around you is surrounded by a dense forest, and there seems to be very few modern commodities about. For instance, a couple of outhouses for the call of nature. The first floor of The Winston Estate will room all underclassmen Delphina students, while the main floor of The Hallow Church will lodge all Mayweathers that are required to attend this year's spooktacular extravaganza (and get spooked). While Delphina First Years and Second years are stuck in a sinister looking mansion, the Mayweathers’ sleeping corridors are fit for kings (or peasants, more likely). There will be sleeping bags in the chapel and chests throughout the abandoned church for their belongings. Sleep tight, don’t let the whispers keep you up at night. If you continue down the road another half mile or so, going across a bridge that hovers over a long, unnaturally misty river, you’ll encounter the hamlet of Witherton. Aside from the homes of its citizens, there are only 6 public buildings: a general store, a fire station, a bank, a post office, a tiny museum, and a Bed & Breakfast. Upperclassmen Delphina students will stay in the heart of the village at The Inn at Witherton. They are the main masterminds behind the Fear Fest - while the villagers are in on the ‘joke’ as well. Unfortunately, Mayweather students and Delphina underclassmen do not know how involved the villagers are. All they know is if they go to the village they could try some of the best known cider known to date and play festive games like Grab Apple and Pumpkin Pop Ring Toss. There’s also Buggy Patches the Clown, who will offer to paint your face, tell your fortune, and maybe even make you a balloon animal! As intriguing as this does sound, when you arrive at the village you’ll come to find out nothing that was advertised is as it seems. Of course it’s not. This event is called FEAR FEST, after all. The villagers are unnervingly happy, the mist makes it incredibly hard to see where you’re going, and there is no phone service anywhere. By the caramel and candy apple booth, a lady dressed in black will beckon you closer. Not only will she offer her sweet, delectable apples to you, but she will also give you a piece of paper that lists the four landmarks of the area that you are encouraged to explore by the next evening. If you explore all landmarks, you will be given a free pass on an exam of your choosing during Finals.
First Night Landmarks

The West Wing of Winston Estate: They always warn you to not go somewhere in a grand estate. More often than not the West Wing. But why? Let’s find out. Grab a partner, anyone, perhaps someone that makes you feel safe? Or take a chance and go with someone you know nothing about. Traveling alone is never the smartest idea. The mansion is much like something you would see in the gameboard Clue. A historical building with nooks, crannies, and secret passageways that will bring you to an entirely different area of the house. The goal here is to find Clinton Winston’s only daughter’s bedroom. Tallulah Winston, a eight year old ray of sunshine, who was kidnapped in the dark of the night. She use to tell her father about her imaginary friend, Mr. Harlow Quin, and how he was going to take her to visit mommy in heaven. It is said after she went missing, he closed the West Wing from everyone but himself. No one knows where her bedroom is in the giant West Wing… but it is in there. Somewhere. Can you find it before anyone else or will you end up in the downstairs kitchen instead? What you don’t know is that in this wing, your worst fears will come to life. We have maestros hidden that know a thing or two about what makes you cry. Trust me, you won’t be able to sleep tonight.

The Passing Maze: The moment you step into the maze, a suffocating burlap sack will be thrown over your head, and you’ll be brought to a random point in the maze, with or without others. If you had any belongings on your person, you’ve most likely been stripped down to just your clothes and self. You must find your way to the exit, who knows what’s waiting for you at every corner. When you find Krazy Karl’s Pet Graveyard, you have found the exit.
After you are done visiting places?
Relax! Make a bonfire! Take a dip in the questionable river! Have fun. HAPPY BIRTHDAY LEON!

Second Day Landmarks

The Witherwood Pines: You enter the thicket of the trees and, all except the animalistic supers, immediately feel robbed of your powers. These woods are kryptonite to any that step foot into the underbrush. Behind you, the path shuts. You can only continue advancing forward. In the distance, you can hear frightening, primal screams. Though you don’t know it yet, you have entered the domain of the Flayed Men, who come to collect your skin. You’d better run fast if you hope to make it out alive.

The Hallowed Catacombs: Spooky, scary skeletons~. The souls of the deceased lie in the catacombs that stretch from the church to the manor, and they’re rumored to come to life on certain nights. You can hear the scraping of bone against stone even from the main level of each building, keeping a good many of the students awake. Should you venture down, you will find the darkness unsettling, but more than that, you will find a host of skeletons ready to do battle with you. Defeat them and the necromancer that controls them, and you might just get a good night’s sleep.
The bus will come for you at 6 PM.
Did you have fun?
