I'm not going to get into a political debate, but I will say that, as a New Yorker, the vibe of the city is definitely different today. There is an air of solemness that has swept over a city that usually crackles with energy. If you didn't know any better you'd honestly think that someone had died. (And the rain here today certainly isn't helping the mood.) The people of this city know Trump. They've dealt with him and his shenanigans for ages. Crowds of New Yorkers literally booed him yesterday when he got out of his little motorcade to go into a school to vote. (Srsly.) I think it's very telling that, however much people dislike Hillary, they almost unanimously picked her over Trump at every turn in this state. And I don't think it was entirely due to us being a primarily blue state. Something wicked this way comes, folks. Prepare yourselves.
