Walgrave
Post#4 [@Flamelord]
The old Magus considered his Servants introduction with disatisfaction. History had never been a particularly strong point of his, but he had lived a long time, accumulated much knowledge over the years and he had never heard of any Alexander Nevsky before. For a Heroic Spirit he knew that was bad. Furthermore the Servant was clearly one of the Russian fables. They were a backwards and contentious people he knew, unwilling to join the rest of the west in even the most rudimentary aspect of the modern age. When they had at last been forced onto the twentieth century their first major act had been to give in disgracefully to the Huns in the Great War. No, this would simply not do. To gain the Root he would need a Servant more worthy of his experience. But how was one to change their Servant once they had been summoned? Walgrave gazed down at the clear glyphs that outlined his right hand, a pattern vaguely reminiscent of breaking glass, (or was it ice?) scripted there. There was no unwinding those enchantments, at least not for the moment. Dissatisfied as he was none of his misgivings made their way to his face, which remained as melancholy and weary looking as ever. "Yes... yes." He nodded as the Servant pledged further allegiance to him. No matter, their first journey was soon and without a doubt they would take casualties in whatever dangerous land was waiting for them. When the time came it might prove a simple matter to dispose of the inadequate vessel and assume another whose Master had died in the field. In the meantime as always he would make use of this still valuable tool. "Your protection is... hrrrrrn, appreciated. This is my first command. I have no... need of immediate defense until we leave." He leaned in slightly closer, lowering his voice till it was nearly imperceptible. "Search the room. You said you were ahhhhh, a Prince? A commander? Find the Servant that you judge to be most likely of the Class... Assassin. Make yourself known to them and their Master... and tell them hrrrn... tell them that your Master wishes to make their acquaintance. That there are great benefits to working with me... great rewards from the, haaa, Clock Tower Lords. They will, haaa, understand. All the better if their Master is young. Full of energy. Hungry for profit. A Prince could not fail to notice such people... after all."
