Could always say he got in late Friday night or early Saturday morning. Technically his suspension would be over on Monday but given there's no classes Friday to Sunday (not counting missions) I doubt Ozpin would object to him coming back a little early to get himself situated in the new dorm and get reacquainted with the campus. He did only get to spend one day at Beacon after all.
